Las Empanadas de

“We went in, mostly for the grocery store, as we were looking for a specific type of spice. there’s quite a good selection, but they didn’t necessarily have what we were looking for. At times the hallways felt very narrow.. the cashiers were quite helpful in answering our questions. We didn’t realize that there was a restaurant inside and perhaps during our next visit we will give it a try.“

Empanadas de Carne

“You can buy small or larger Colombian empanadas, either freshly baked or frozen plus some other things like coffee and drinks. They have five different empanada fillings, beef, chicken, cheese, vegetarian, hawaiien (corn, ham cheese). The dough is made of corn flour and the outer shell of the empanada was quite crispy, which I really liked. I also believe the beef and chicken fillings are mixed with potato. I found the beef and hawaiian ones the most flavorful. The others aren't bad but more a matter of preference. Although the chicken one doesn't really have much taste. You order by the box which can have either 5, 10, 25 or more. You can order on their website online for pickup but you don't pay through the website this way. They only ask for your name and phone number. Then you simply indicate the day and time you will pick it up. I'm not sure if there's any minimum time between order placement and pickup but I put an order in about 2 hours before pickup on the same day and that was fine. There isn't really much parking in the area but you can park on the side of the street.“
