“What a beautiful gem! Just steps from Dorchester Square, which we visited after our Montréal at Night bus tour, we stopped into Bar Dominion for drinks and a snack. This gorgeous old bar opened in 1927 and has been lovingly maintained in its original style. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. Our waiter, Tim, was incredibly friendly, provided outstanding service, and knew so much about the menu and the bar’s history—even though it was only his second day on the job! Can’t wait to come back!“

“Food portions are good, taste is decent. I tried a few dishes from the special mufaletta to the smoked meat poutine and fish and chips. The batter on the fish was good but pretty much flavorless as was the dip. The smoked meat poutine was generous but could have done without fhe pickles or mustard. The mufaletta while good was a bit dry.“

Just the fun, eclectic décor is worth coming for, but the food and service is what will bring you back again and again. Some of the best Indian food I've had. I just love this place!“

“Stopped in for drinks only. Got our 1st order in quickly but both my wife and I finished our drinks and had to flag down the waitress to get new drinks. Drinks were good but expensive. Not sure if they were short staffed on servers that night but we were definitely not attended to as we should have been. Would try again if in town again though.“

La Phare et la Lux brillent franchement parmi leurs créations : chacune bien construite, expressive, avec cette touche d’élégance qui fait qu’on y revient. Le Blanton’s Old Fashioned m’a aussi franchement séduit : soigné, précis, avec juste ce qu’il faut d’aplomb. Le service ? Sympathique, attentif, à l’image de l’endroit. “Average service and a little long. The waitress was there at the beginning to sell drinks but once this step was finished, only one visit to bring our meal. The prices are average high but the meal was excellent. The starter was very good, a little expensive for the portion. The fries were well seasoned and the ribs had lots of meat. The lychee sangria was fresh and delicious. Overall the taste makes up for the price. But the service needs to be improved. Other people who accompanied us never received their starter and had to ask another waitress to get their plate. The bathrooms are very well maintained.

Parking: Large parking lot but the spaces are small and there seems to be a small arena next door. So the parking lot fills up very quickly during events.“

“It was one of these days when you go to a bar in a foreign country and everything just turns out right. It was already a very friendly atmosphere because of the blonde waitress who served me good food, beer and a tasty cocktail called Smurfette. I had the chance of meeting the Greek owner and some of the local guests who were all open and interested in exchanging life stories. I would like to thank all of the people I got to know on this day and especially that little girl who introduced herself by shaking hands 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 All in all a very nice flair, good food and solid people to have a good time with!
