Gibby’s is an absolute classic located in Vieux Port. The building is cozy, rustic and nostalgic. Steak is a must, they will cook to your liking. The portions are big, and the value is worth it. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was amazing either, and it was so expensive it should have been amazing. Also, it was a beautiful spring day but extremely HOT in the restaurant, uncomfortably so, noted by everyone in our party. Considered leaving because of that but it was already late and wasn’t sure where we would find to eat. I took off every layer I could and remain decent, rolled up sleeves, but it was still uncomfortable and kind of spoiled the ambiance which is otherwise pretty.
Everything was perfect! I did a diner after my civil marriage and everything went as smoothly as i could imagine. The event organiser were very involved and they took alots of stress away from us through our face to face meetings, emails and phone calls. They made us a personalized menu with our picture and a little word for our guest. We were 35 people and they let us have the whole upstair which lead us to have alots of space by a beautiful fire place. The guests were well treated. The food was amazing ( my best compliments to the chef) The servers were friendly and very hard working. They were dedicated and amazing listeners. I don't think i said thanks enough. We never missed anything. We all want to go back.

Shoutout to our server Kasra ("Kass") who made our dining experience special and much more enjoyable!!First visit and definitely a memorable one. We were assigned a table in the basement dining area which was very nice. We tried crab cakes for appetizers (a must, if you ask me) then halibut and rib eye steak for the main course. Food is great, what more can I say?Service was impeccable and prompt, with amazing recommendations from our server as well as frequent checks on how the evening is going on for us. We got a birthday cake - not a slice of cake - for my wife, and got a polaroid photo taken from us as a gift! Definitely will return!Street parking space will be difficult to find. I believe there is valet parking available. Also, there is an Indigo parking lot close by.Vegetarian options: One item on the menu without meat - with eggplant.
