I ordered 3 bagels and asked for extra eggs in all of them and paid extra for all of them. I got in my car and on the highway and none of them had eggs. I tried calling to ask for some sort of reimbursement and no one picked up. The meet was was very dry and tasted old. Overalll horrible experience.

Growing up in Ottawa (and living now in Toronto) Kettlemans has been my goto for bagels. Honestly, I had a bagel here and it was kind of dry and tasteless. Also, I was charged for a full breakfast sandwich when ordering just an egg and cheese.

Today my friends and I were ordering some bagels after a night out. The guy got our order messed up twice times and overcharged us. Got mad at us and told us that it was our fault although he made the wrong order multiple times without even double checking…ruined our night.

This place is so slow. Every time I give them a second chance, it blows my mind how disorganized it is.

First time I went, it took 20 minutes for a toasted bagel with cream cheese. They need to review how they process orders in the kitchen because if you get stuck behind a large sandwich order you wait forever.

This time, I simply placed an online order for pickup of a dozen bagels. When I show up, it's like they had no idea it existed and filled the order as I waited. Defeating the whole purpose of an online order.

Not the employees fault, needs better management

Love their bagels. They are the closest as taste with the ones I was used with in Europe.

I was looking for the Montreal bagel experience and found Ketlemans. It looks like an old style bagel oven but cooked en masses. My smoked eat bagel on cheese n herb was excellent and her smoked salmon on pumpernickel.was superb. Coffee was good too.

TEMPORARY RESIDENT

AVOID
Fake “Montreal” Bagels!
This is simply a tourist trap with very low quality bagels. Simply put, this place does not belong in Montreal.

We went there quite regularly. Despite the fact that we had trouble being served in French and that there were no mistakes in our sandwiches, it was still good. But on our last visit, on August 30, we bought a dozen bagels in bulk with two cream cheeses in addition to our lunch trios. What was our surprise when we noticed once at home that we had only been given 9 bagels instead of twelve... I called to speak to the manager 3 times. I left a message with my name and phone number for him to call me back. No signs of life! One wonders if there is a manager working there. Customer service is non-existent and really poor quality. We definitely won't go back!

Was an unpleasant experience, especially compared to any of the cafes nearby. I know it’s more of a chain so I had lower expectations but the service pretty low quality. The guys were all super stoned and seemed super confused with any questions I asked. I only ordered three bagels with cream cheese and it took a surprising long time even though we were the only ones there. Finally, they seem to have taken the smallest dollop of cream cheese and spread it thinly across each bagel. Every other bagel shop we went to in Montreal was fantastic though

The first time I tried this place, I really liked it. However, I went back today with my brother and it was not fresh at all :(

I took the cubano and the bagel was HARD as a rock and tasted days old. The meat did not taste fresh either.

My brother took the Kettlemans special, which he found wasn’t as good as the first time either. There was a good amount of salmon, but the amount of cream cheese overwhelmed it. However, his bagel tasted fresher than mine so I guess I just got an old one that they found under the counter ?
