“For the price it's worth, it's delicious and fulfilling! Good price. Portions are quite generous, staff is super friendly, and service was nice and fast (exceot when its packed). Taste wise, flavourful. They change the dessert everyday, which is good if you want to try their dessert menu. If you like sweet and spicy gojuchang together, then this spot is for you. I would recommend for sure the fried tofu and fried sweet potatoes. I'd recommend coming here with friends or on a date! Super cute ambience.“

“Great neighbourhood restaurant offering a variety of classic Korean dishes. Family friendly and affordable. Food is always consistently good. They also have Korean beer and soju, which is appreciated at the end of the week!“

“What a charming cafe we stumbled upon! The Kpop dance studio where my daughter and her friend go to had a photo shoot at a location we've never been to. I was looking for a place to go have a bite and found Allo Daisy. The girls are really into Korean pop culture so were delighted that Allo Daisy was like right down the street! Gimbap and ramyeon was pretty much all they had in the way of a meal, which was good and nicely presented. We all finished with a Bingsoo for dessert, which made a yummy treat, but will have to come back for croffles in the future. The service was very friendly too.“

“I rarely leave reviews but wow I’m impressed with this place. The service was quick and easy (you get a ping when your order is ready) and the place is small and quaint. But that isn’t what impressed me. It was how perfectly balanced the food is.

Usually when I order a bibimbap, it’s mostly rice with some veggies. I don’t eat a lot of carbs so I usually throw the rest away.

But this place uses just the right amount of rice but loads up on veggies. Kale, carrots, black beans, cucumbers. And my gosh the fried onions! Such a perfect mix. Of course, the pork was perfectly marinaded and tender.

“I stopped by to grab something to go. The waitress was absolutely lovely and welcoming, the food was tasty (I had the bibimbap) but one big issue for me is that the portions are tiny. It seems like I could easily eat 2 meals, and that means I don't feel like I am getting my money's worth.

Dear restaurant owner, please increase your portions, I don't mind paying a bit more, but the current price to food ratio is not great. Just having more rice would be a big improvement.“

“My father first took me to this cosy, fantastic spot about 10 years ago, and I've often returned with my daughter, friends, over the years. Really like the jokbal (something you don't make at home), all the pajeon options, and the various noodle dishes are always yummy. Plus tasty sides. All food is prepped fresh, with distinct flavours and textures. Street parking not too difficult. Anticipate a line up. Recommend highly.“

“I used to go to Chez Bong on St-Laurent 20 years ago and really enjoyed the food. So I decided to try the restaurant on Mackay. We came here on Thursday evening. We didn’t have a reservation but we didn’t have to wait long.

The food was good but the service was so long even though the restaurant was half full.

We had the shrimp twigim. They were crispy and hot. We had jjajangmyeon (tasty and not too salty) rosé jjampong (creamy and not too spicy) and bulgogi. We also had fried chicken. It was nice and crispy.“

“This is a cosy little corner restaurant with a good variety of Korean dishes. I've been to a fair number of Korean restaurants and Omma had a wide variety of dishes that would appeal to all types of palettes. The dishes are well suited for sharing as well, so it is easy to get some different main courses and divvy them up.

We had a reservation and bar seating was all that was available, which was suitable. When we arrived there were open tables reserved for others. It looked to me like walk-in traffic would be taking a chance, so a reservation is recommended.“

I had been here before and was surprised to see that some people have complained about portion sizes before because I knew there was no way we were going to finish everything when the food started arriving. I've had Korean food in quite a few places in Montreal and I could tell that this was like homecooking the moment I started eating my kimchi stew. Absolutely divine. Even my kids liked it. The seafood/kimchi pancake was nice and thick and very flavorful. It's easy to overcook seafood but that wasn't the case here, everything was cooked just right.
The fried chicken was cooked to perfection and the whole chicken was a lot even for 4 of us. I haven't seen portions this big in Montreal restaurants so again, I'm puzzled by some of the previous reviews.
We took some time to talk with the waiter and it's a family-owned restaurant. I guess that's why everything felt so comforting on a foggy, rainy night; the parents were in the back cooking away. I really can't overstate how much we enjoyed this meal. 감사합니다!“

“Food was good overall, but the beef was so so. Chewy and taste of baking soda, likely to tenderize meat. Chicken was awesome. Suggest using. potassium bicarbonate instead as it has less of an effect on taste. Better quality beef would be good too.“

“I was craving chicken wings while walking in downtown Montreal, so I checked Google and found a Korean-owned chicken restaurant. I ordered 2 drumsticks and 6 wings, half coated with their sweet and spicy garlic sauce, and it was the best part. The regular fried chicken wasn’t that great but was very crunchy and served hot. The fries that came with it were also good. The owner was very nice. I’d rate it 9 out of 10 and definitely recommend it.“
