La Grocerie is a charming restaurant located in the Laurier East area. It offers a cozy atmosphere with wide windows and low ceilings, perfect for a relaxing meal. The menu features elevated versions of typical breakfast and brunch options, including the popular Avocado Toast and the excellent Caramelized Apple French Toast. The restaurant also offers creative and vegan dishes. In the evenings, they have a lot of boardgames and there is no fee to play, and it's not too crowded. The Salmon Benedict and the Pain Perdu were both delicious, even the fries had very good texture. The staff is friendly and pleasant, and the ingredients are fresh, ensuring good quality food. Vegetarian options are available, including the Mushroom and Spinach Benedictine French toast. Despite the challenging parking situation and occasional short staffing, La Grocerie is definitely worth a visit, especially with its delicious food and inviting atmosphere. High chairs are available, making it kid-friendly.
