“The restaurant can be a bit moody, sometimes amazing, sometimes just good, but never bad. It’s a great Iranian restaurant, especially their kebabs; the koobideh and barg are the best. They serve butter and bread before the meal, and it’s a bring-your-own-wine place. A little overpriced, but worth it overall.“

“Manouch/Lahmajoun is always an interesting item to order because depending on where you order it- it could be a flatbread, it could be a wrap- it could be somehow both! Here it resembled a hybrid but I think it would have been best kept as a flatbread. Mine was served with cheese and a few veggies. I think the veggies should have been thrown on before it was heated for better integration personally rather than loosely thrown on, which made it a messier experience with the toppings flying around. Other than how the food held together, it was really tasty and at a reasonable price. The service was good too.“

“I’ve been coming along time before covid it was always packed on a Saturday. I went with my family tonight, 3 kids with us and everything was so perfect. Family friendly, good food, a live show. It was sad that it wasn’t as packed as it used to be. Go here!! It’s awesome.“

“Good food and clean before the high school students came in at lunch time.

Those teenagers literally destroyed this clean and peaceful restaurant into a hell within an hour. Some took drinks without buying any food. Others stripped the balloons and played with them. Some even took the balloons away. For those that bought something, they didn't pick up their trash.

After these youngsters left, new normal clients came in. Their reaction were so disgusted then here comes the bad reviews of cleanliness?. That's rough for the staffs...especially when you see their despair and powerlesness. ?“

“Food was amazing, service was great. My only complaint is that we were offered a tasting menu at $60/person but the bill was not tabulated that way. It was hard to get a feel for what was food and what was alcohol/extras. I don't feel we were ripped off, but it could lead to arguments with customers.“

“I rordered the soup of the day which was very good. For the main dish, I had a chicken plate with salad and roasted pita. The chicken was hard and not tender at all. The salad was soggy and the pita pieces not very tasty. I also ordered a latté coffee which was in a small cup instead of the high rise cup we see in coffee shops and restaurants. It was not very hot and there was very little milk in that cup.“

“Such a pleasant surprise! The unassuming ambience is nothing impressive but the quality and quantity of the food really surpasses expectations. The store is not fancy but clean and well organized.

Gyros are so soft and the pickled peppers are such a nice acidic addition to the dish, but I can’t believe that my favorite is the rice.

Hear me out. I’m Asian, and my grandparents used to grow organic premium rice. I am really picky when it comes to rice. But this rice is rich in flavor and just the right amount of savory. I even skip on rice in restaurants in Korea because I’m that stuck-up about rice! And here, I couldn’t get enough of it!

I am sure everything else is great too, but I’m sticking to the Gyro platter. 100% would visit again.“

“Great experience all around. Made fresh to order and staff was very nice. This is traditional way to eat Lebanese Tawouk, recommend everyone to try it. We got the original Tawouk, it was pretty good and good portion. Also, in addition to washroom they have a sink in eating area to wash your hands quickly.“

“I just moved to the Halifax region a few months ago and this was the best food I’ve had. We both got the Arabic chicken Shawarma wrap. The man serving is said “this is how we eat it at home” so we had to get that. Woah! So tasty! Lots of garlic sauce and the pickled veggies were so flavourful. The chicken was juicy and spiced so well. All of the salads and food we could see looked fresh and smelled delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try all of the salads! The two men working there were so friendly and so kind. My experience here my day… nay, my year so far! Thank you! So so good!“

“We are visiting from Ottawa and thought we would try Shawarma Habibi. While they have changed ownership and under a new name, I have to say the food was out of this world.The gentleman serving us was very friendly and went out of his way to make us fresh garlic potatoes. They were the best potatoes we have ever tasted. My kids who tend to be picky eaters devoured their meals which says so much.Highly recommend this place. It was awesome.“
