I stopped in for a drink or two, and wow. Mignon makes some of the best martinis I've ever had. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were so friendly, yet professional. Montréal is one of my all-time favorite cities to visit, and Mignon is a perfect example of why that is. Next time I'm in town, I'm stopping by for the full restaurant experience (plus another amazing martini).

It was my wife and I first time in Montreal and we were told to check out Old Port and stumbled into Mignon and had the experience of a lifetime!

The hospitality, food, environment and courtesy made thr experience second-to-none. We ordered the Steak Frites which are arguably the best (coming from New York City). This restaurant is 10 out of 10 for the hospitality and intention alone — special thanks to Valentin, Pierre, and Danny for making this one for the ages. An incredible welcome to Montreal.

Passable service (overwhelmed by an unfilled room), tasteless dishes and failed cooking. Don’t expect to experience the relay de l’entrecôte in Paris or even the old St-Jean entrecôte restaurant in Montreal and you may not be disappointed.

The espresso martini was the best we ever had. Outstanding cocktails and service.

Wine expert was someone to remember! Extremely passionate and knowledgeable about their craft (wine, whiskey, etc.)

And dollar oysters. Delicious, affordable and fresh.

My wife and I had dinner at Mignon Steak Vieux-Montréal, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Despite making a reservation at a steakhouse, we were bizarrely asked if we were vegetarians upon arrival. This felt out of place and left us wondering why that was necessary information when we'd clearly chosen a steakhouse.

The service continued to disappoint. When we asked for salt for our fries, the waiter condescendingly asked if we had tasted them first - incredibly patronizing. We also ordered a side of mushrooms and onions, which was forgotten and only brought out well after our meals had been served. As a result, I had to watch my dinner get cold while waiting for the side dish.

Adding insult to injury, we couldn't help but notice that the waiter was far more attentive to the table next to us, frequently checking on them and ensuring their dishes arrived in the order they preferred. This stark contrast in service made our experience even more frustrating.

Though we were offered a free dessert as compensation, we declined, expecting that the mishandled side dish would be removed from our bill in lieu of the dessert. Unfortunately, it wasn't, which was a disappointing end to an already subpar dining experience. The entire evening felt condescending and strange, and we left feeling very unimpressed.

We would not recommend this restaurant to others based on our experience.

The place is really nice, the vibe, the music it was on point. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was good but not the greatest, my steak was a little overcooked, good flavour, the sauce is the star there. Fries were really nice specially with the steak sauce. I upgraded to be half salad half fries, not worth it. It ended up being 2 pieces of lettuce like you see in the picture. I got the Crème brûlée for desert, the flavour and presentation were good, the crust on top needed more sugar for that classic initial crack. Food needs to improve a notch to align with the place and price you pay.
