Overall, we had a very pleasant experience at Mignon Steak in Old Montreal. Cocktails were delicious, ambiance felt very cozy, albeit a bit noisy until one group left, and the service was top notch. Overall it was a nice eventing, they are just not very flexible. I had a reservation for 7 ppl at 7:45. My party grew to 10 and we were told they couldn't accommodate all of us. That was fine. We then asked if the extra 3 could have their own table and again we were told no because the restaurant was full - it was empty at 7:45 when we arrived and still empty at 10 pm when we left. Food was pretty good. Nice portions. Filet mignon was a bit cold and not the cooking we asked for. The service was terrible, really long and mistakes with our drinks, no water for a while.
