Lovely setting and very good food. Hard acoustics make it difficult to carry on a conversation. Our waiter was great, constantly busy, but they are very understaffed in the kitchen and front of house on nights when the main dining room is closed, so service was extremely slow - an hour to get a bowl of French onion soup and a smoked meat sandwich! Plus another ten minutes to get the fries, piping hot out of the fryer. This is a management problem, not the fault of the staff struggling...
Went there to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday and experience our first tea service together. We had a green tea & black tea(do not remember the names but it was a matcha & heavenly…) and these were both good. I was disappointed because I had to request milk and when they brought it out it was cold. Who wants to cool down their tea… please warm it up on the future. Out of the 3 tiers, the scones were our favourite with the jams. The desert was the worst, only...
