Wanted to try a different Japanese restaurant from our usual place. Was surprised at how quite it was for a Friday dinner; there was only 1 other person besides us throughout our time there. Service was alright; cleanliness of their dishes is patchy, but they will replace it if they bring you dirty ones.We didn’t feel that that they food was tasty. It could be fresh, but it was lacking in flavour for the sashimi (and sushi). Tempura was well fried, bad did not have much flavour.
The restaurant tour near work continues. It's tucked in the corner on the top floor of the swanky Cours Mont Royal mall. I was attracted to this place because I thought they served ramen, but it wasn't the case, at least not for lunch. The lunch menu is bento boxes of different styles, mine had a bit of everything, sashimi, sushi, tempura and teriyaki chicken.The miso soup was good, the salad, meh.
