I got a whole chicken from DJ poulet and a whole chicken from one of the most famous Portuguese chicken spots in Montreal for a tasting test.Portion: DJ poulet chicken was significantly smaller (2/3 the size)Price: DJ poulet was 20% more expensive for just the chickenSides: DJ didnt have all the sides available but the plantain was so good! Freshly made to order. The rice was ok, meets expectations but nothing to talking about.Taste: PJ poulet wins by far. I was shocked but it was delicious. And this was unanimous for the whole group. This is my go to spot for charcoal chicken.Overall: call ahead and order your chicken and enjoy the best charcoal flavoured chicken!“

“Every time I go there I forget to take photos. DJ Chicken! Chicken, bananas and rice. I go there quite often when I'm in Montreal. I recommend that you reserve your dishes in advance. They are super busy and overwhelmed. They are super friendly, smiling and warm. Music and atmosphere on site.“

“Delicious Moroccan food in a nicely decorated setting overlooking a fountain plaza. The lamb tajin was fall off the bone goodness with perfectly flavoured sauce full of figs, almonds, cranberries & golden raisins. We also had the lovely BereBere Salad which is a Moroccan roasted vegetable dip eaten with a semolina flat bread. Such a lovely meal and the owner is friendly and very knowledgeable about Moroccan traditional ingredients.“

While I've never dined in person, I've been ordering from them for over four years and have found their dishes to be the best among many international restaurants I've tried. Each dish reflects a touch of love and care. Unlike many places where service and quality decline over time, this restaurant maintains its high standards. They have truly made me fall in love with Moroccan cuisine. Although my interactions with them have been limited to phone calls, the staff has always been kind and friendly. Their food deserves more than a five-star rating.
