“Stumbled on this little gem at closing time. The owner was amazing and made us a matcha. He’s so friendly and kind. We talked rocks, gardens and teas. He made the plant based milk right there and it added to the most delicious matcha experience I’ve had. Highly recommend!“

“I come here weekly it's literally an addiction. The hojicha latte is insane and such a good price too. All the desserts are made of such high quality ingredients but the mochi matcha cookie is my favorite. Perfectly sweet with that deep matcha flavor. Great quality chocolate. Service is always on point. No other matcha place compares at this point lol.“

“What a AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Thomas and Steven have procured some of the finest things to offer. We ordered The King Afternoon Tea. Everything offered was completely delicious, and made in house. I have food allergies and they even made a few changes for me. Hibiscus’s based tea from Fortnum and Mason was they perfect compliment to scones, mini quiche, beetroot mimosa egg and other sweet and savory treats. I even iced my tea. Service was beyond GOOD. Give yourself a HIGH TEA moment.“

“On my last trip to Montreal, my husband and I stumbled upon a place that truly stayed with me, Ming Tao Xuan.
From the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a quiet, magical world. The atmosphere is calm, beautiful, and full of intention, the kind of place that immediately makes you slow down and just be present.
What made the experience unforgettable, though, were the owners. This lovely couple welcomed us with such genuine warmth and kindness that it felt less like visiting a shop and more like being invited into someone’s home. You can feel the years they’ve dedicated to this place, and the passion they carry for what they do. There was something deeply moving about meeting them, I left feeling incredibly grateful for that encounter.
Of course, I couldn’t leave without bringing some of their teas home, absolutely delicious and clearly selected with care. It’s the kind of quality you don’t forget.
Ming Tao Xuan is not just a tea store, it’s an experience, a moment of peace, and a reminder of how meaningful human connection can be. I already know I’ll be ordering more tea online, just to hold onto a little piece of that magic.
