“Returning to an old huant after almost 40 yrs. Still has its charm and and awesome menu and staff. Stopped in for a midweek brunch as we'd been in town to see a show. The plateau and main are the same and yet different than I remember.
Bagel Ect, still a gem! They served up one of the best brunches we've had in Montreal. I ordered the classic Benedictine Eggs Benedict—perfectly poached eggs, rich and velvety hollandaise, all on a fresh, fluffy base. My partner had the Romanov, a version with lox, which was equally delicious—the smoked salmon was silky and flavorful without overpowering the dish. A special shoutout to their sautéed potatoes—crispy, well-seasoned, and the ideal companion to our meals. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and food done right. Forgot to mention, thier latte are perfect...Highly recommended!“

“Went there on Friday, November 8th at about 8:45 in the morning and had Greek yogurt fruit bowl. Wildly huge portions! Fruit was very fresh, poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Staff provides excellent service and is always on top of refilling coffee and water. Highly recommend!“

“Our experience at this restaurant was amazing. The waitress that was working on tuesday 12pm in particular was kind and fast. It wasn’t crowded and the ambience was really nice. As for the food, it was good and the portions were generous. I would definitely dine here again !“

“I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu and more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership and iteration of the cafe and menu. It’s owner run, so they know what they’re doing and the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price and down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well and I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.“

“It's now called Les Coquines. This restaurant is very clean. The prices are still very competitive. The food is good and the coffee too. I was expecting dishwater as coffee, well no! The waitress is friendly, helpful and beautiful as a heart. This place deserves to be known. Large local clientele on site, many regulars. Parking is a little difficult on the street, but not impossible.

“I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a few years and always enjoyed it, but over the past few months I’ve noticed a decline. The food portions have become noticeably smaller, and the quality of service has slipped. On several visits, the waiter/waitress has taken the order, brought a drink, and then not returned to check in for the rest of the meal. It feels like the personal attention that used to make this place special is missing. I truly hope they can return to the great food portions and attentive service that made me a loyal customer.“

“I went Wednesday July 10 after the major renovations. On the other hand, there was an electrician who had to lift a ceiling tile not far from my table. Subsequently, the fire alarm started to sound for at least 10 minutes following the electrical work. I had to leave because the noise was really too loud, the electrician not being able to stop the noise. In short, it would be important to complete ALL renovations before reopening the restaurant. We always get a table before 9:00 during the weekends to avoid the big "breakfast rush." Portions are generous and there are a lot of options on the menu. It's our go to place for family breakfast!“
