“We had a great experience at Ben & Florentin. We arrived at 10:30 with a group of 9 and were seated immediately, which was impressive. The service was fast, friendly, and very welcoming throughout.

The food was excellent, especially the fresh fruit. I highly recommend the mascarpone strawberries—they were a standout.

Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience. Would definitely come back.“

“Great place for brunch, portions are reasonable. Personally I prefer the atmosphere before the renovations, but the new atmosphere isn’t bad. It just feels very corporate-ish, not as cozy as it used to be. Service is slightly slow, especially for drink refills (you can see in the picture that our glasses are all empty except one). Menu is a bit too large and daunting.
Food itself is good, benedict is undeniably still their best. I find their skillets a bit underwhelming.“

“This restaurant is one of the hidden gems in Montreal. We found it on a trip here a year ago and came back twice this trip. We have had brunch twice and dinner tonight and it didn't disappoint. The staff here are amazing, every visit makes us think we just had the best server ever. We have never had trouble getting a table here even during very busy times. “I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu and more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership and iteration of the cafe and menu. It’s owner run, so they know what they’re doing and the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price and down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well and I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.“
