“I had the best late night meal here yesterday. Went with a classic poutine and it was exactly what I was craving. There was plenty of gravy and cheese curds and the fries held up really well underneath. Didn't take long to get my food either. Such a satisfying meal.“

“Found this place after moving in the neighborhood and I come here from time to time.Just taking a table next to the window makes me feel on those typical tv shows where you have your local dining with a very friendly environment.It is remarkable how all the staff makes everybody feel welcome as family, some people arriving are acquaintances, some others just usual customers. You see them greeting people by name and even hugs for old friendships, which gives me a total warmth feeling as if I was just at home having breakfast.This has already become my favorite place to have a comfy breakfast while reading at my table and feeling “at home”.“

Le service est rapide et courtois comme d’habitude! Je sors des lieux avec mon sac en papier brun et rendu dehors il se déchire et tout tombe au sol. Je me résigne à ramasser le tout mais sachant que je ne peux retourner à l’intérieur pour commander à nouveau car budgétairement je préférais m’abstenir de dépenser à nouveau. A ma grande surprise le gérant ou propriétaire a vu que je ramenais mes choses à la poubelle alors sans hésitation il a sorti dehors et m’a dit rentre je vais te refaire ton trio et ce gratuitement ! J étais tellement content pour moi et ma fille la ! Ma foi en l’humanité est revenue merci monsieur qui que vous êtes mais vous avez fait notre Paques!“

“One of our favorite poutines in town, although a little disappointed because they often change their large poutine containers..before they were rectangular and still looked the same in quantity but yesterday they were made round and the quantity really decreased, almost half as much as usual..“

“We were extremely surprised at the size of the clubhouse sandwich. It was stuffed a mile high and so tasty! Fries were crispy and the coleslaw (which I don't often enjoy) was a tasty pairing.
They could use a lot of interior updates and refresh the menu holders and beverage listing. I'd still go back.“

Unlike some of these type of old-school diners the service and cleanliness here are exemplary.

I had wanted to try this cool spot for a while, so finally went for a late lunch and had a chicken souvlaki pita with fries and a Pepsi (as a trio).

It was freshly made and perfectly cooked. With ample chicken on a thicker whole wheatish pita that was a unique highlight of the meal. The tzatziki was smooth and a bit savoury which worked with the pure flat top grilled chicken pieces. Plenty of fries with no skimping on the mayo on the side and a basket of ketchup packets on every table. Such a handy and equally smart touch.

Shout out to Steve and Katrina who were quite friendly and made me feel welcome.

Also to mention they now have an online ordering platform that comes with 10% off plus their own delivery person and also Uber Eats is available.

“Lafleur is the perfect spot to catch a quick filling traditional canteen style meal. The fries are made in front of your eyes and the food is usually pretty quick. The service isn't the main focus of the management, but the food speaks for itself. If you really want a local feel with characters of all sorts, stop in! I am a huge fan of their grilled hotdogs, and a classic poutine!“
