The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Justine, who surprised me with a small salty treat they made as a birthday gift. “Very good experience overall, and easily 5 stars once you are actually inside.

The setting is quite unique. The menu puts local Quebec products front and centre, everything we tried was very well prepared, and the value was surprisingly good considering the location and quality.

The only real issue was getting into the restaurant. We had to queue for about 45 minutes to go through the general Parliament security line, which was very slow and fairly clunky. I completely understand that security is necessary in a parliament building, but there is no dedicated line for restaurant guests and the only guidance we received was to arrive 15 minutes early. In our case, that was nowhere near enough.

It is a shame because the restaurant itself deserves full marks. A better arrival process, or at least much clearer instructions when booking, would make a significant difference.“
