“Love this place! I love thin crust pizza, but also LOVE a good doughy pizza and if you want the latter, San Genarro is THE place to go for it. Their cheese is perfectly flavorful and chewy, and the sauce is just the right amount of tart. The space is small and I would probably never want to eat inside, although maybe on the patio... but to order a large Margherita for takeout to bring home and demolish with my partner and/or friends is always a good time. “This place knows exactly what they’re doing and they know how to do it WELL. We checked it out last Saturday during dinner rush and the customers did not stop rolling through the door. We ordered a pepperoni and ate it on the spot and my GOD was this pizza out of this world. The crust was a perfect thickness and cooked perfectly, so crispy but not burnt. Toppings are generous and the pepperoni ends up as a delicious mix of crispy and greasy. We sat in the place for a while and noticed how the staff and owner interacted with customers and themselves - these guys clearly love what they do, with a special nod to the owner who is serious about quality control (entirely scrapping a pizza because it was too overcooked). So many people coming in seemed like friends of the owner or regulars that have become friendly, which was amazing to witness. These guys, in addition to making INSANE pizza, have created a sense of community inside their small shop. Kudos to these guys. Will be back asap (please put that pickle pizza from your Instagram on the menu, I am DYING to try it).“

“I stopped ordering from this restaurant PCQ: (see the saga, start at the bottom) Latest news: I received the replacement trio and the meat patty, on which they kindly included the manufacturer's label with Ingredients. They are right: there is beef; and I'm right: it tastes like a veggie burger. First ingredient: beef. Then, water, toasted wheat crumbs, SOY PROTEIN, salt and spice extract, onions, garlic. We agree, it's not just a beef pattyFurthermore, I notice that neither on the site nor on the advertising leaflet do they indicate that it is 100% beef. So yes, the texture is a little different from that of a 100% beef patty, but it's like a meatball in an Italian dish: there's always something other than just meat to make it more tender. In short, as my argument was not at all the taste but rather the texture, and the quantity of sodium which inevitably accompanies fake meats, I decided to no longer order from this restaurant. But it's a question of health, not taste. And since the customer service was GREAT by Mr Hussain, I'm giving them one more star. PS: I still hate fries, but that’s a matter of personal taste ??Update: I finally spoke to the manager who told me it was the Cardinal beef patty, and that he would send me a trio as a replacement with a smaller meat patty but definitely made from beef. “I tried Pizza Toni for the first time and I wanted to leave a review to help others out who might not know what to expect. I'm originally from NJ and I wanted to try this place because it was supposed to have more "NY style" pizza instead of Montreal style pizza. I will say that the crust was definitely reminiscent of NY style pizza and overall I did like it.I ordered the eggplant parmesan pizza for myself and the vegan pizza (with 1/2 pepperoni) for my son. I was a bit disappointed with mine because it tasted like the peppers were marinated in something with vinegar. I really hate vinegar which is why I didn't choose the mushroom pizza (since it said it was their marinated mushroom mix) and I didn't want to take the chance of something vinegary. The pizza I ordered mentioned cheese, tomato sauce, heirloom peppers and eggplant. I can't 100% for sure say it was vinegar, but it was definitely not just plain peppers as they were very tangy and that taste overwhelmed the entire pizza for me. So I can't say if I would have fully liked it or not. I think if I had gotten plain cheese, or if you could choose your toppings, I would have liked it more.My son got the vegan cheese pizza and he really loved the vegan cheese and the pizza itself. I took a bite and I thought the vegan cheese tasted really good. I got 1/2 pepperoni because he really likes pepperoni, but some places are too spicy for him. He has GI issues and so if he eats spicy foods it aggravates his system. Unfortunately although he loved the taste of the pepperoni, he found they were very spicy for him (he's only 10). So I just want to give that caveat to anyone concerned with that. If you like spicy or it doesn't bother you, you will probably like it.The other downside is that the pizzas are VERY expensive. I knew this ahead of time on their website, but I'm just letting people know in case. For me, it was a fun splurge but not something I would order that regularly. It was $87 for 2 pizzas and a hot honey dip, although I did also add pepperoni to a pizza that doesn't normally have it so it might have been extra.I did find the pizzeria to have a nice atmosphere and there were lots of young people hanging out and eating pizza. The restaurant did not seat large numbers, but it still felt spacious and looked very clean. Everyone working there was nice and they looked happy.I really do think that for someone who is not sensitive to vinegar, they would probably really like it. I just don't have an adventurous palate for that kind of stuff. Also, I ordered some hot honey on the side to drizzle on my pizza and it was really delicious.“
