“Drive-through order. A&W is the worst when it comes to having a no bun burger if you do not want it lettuce-wrapped as well. Ordered a Teen Burger, no bun. Lettuce-wrapped? No, thanks! Ended up with burger patties and bacon, no sauce, no cheese, no nothing. Go back and ask for a redo. Ended up with burger patties, bacon, AND cheese, nothing else. I was pissed and left. I wanted a teen burger, no bun. In my mind, it's not difficult. Everything that goes in a teen, no bun. Anyway. It seems to wreck their perfect chain work. It never was an issue anywhere else, just A&W.“

Food wise, everything was perfect. The all canadian breakfast was delicious, and a special mention about the coffee, which used to be the only downside of a A&W breakfast but is now absolutely perfect, even warranting the stop for coffee alone! Overall, fantastic experience!“

“This was my first experience with Canadian fast food. I've got to say that it was actually pretty good. I tried the le squick burger d'alexis, which was a bacon burger with cheese curds and chipotle sauce. It was surprisingly good. Since I didn't really know what to expect, I also ordered classic poutine and it was also good. The portions were very good considering I ordered the bébé size. The cheese curds were squeaky in the burger and poutine, so they were fresh. I'll probably try something different next time, just because I like trying new foods.“

“With decent burgers in place, there are still opportunities for improvements.

First - you have ketchup on demand, in small single-serve "airplane-mode" applications. It's a joke as it's not convenient at all, all QSRs got rid off this stuff long time ago, while you are behind. Are you really trying to save money? Just put big squeeze bottles, the same what your competitors do.

Second - your fries. You either have to change oil more frequently or to change the type of the oil you use as fries' smell is not nice and good flavour is lost.

Third and the main one - your personnel. While I appreciate the fact that people work on a minimum wage, it's not an excuse for not to maintain standard practices of how to welcome and service customers. No one was rude or disrespectful in my case, but simple "good morning", "how are you doing, Sir", "what else would you like" or just a smile would be greatly appreciated.“

Super nice service when ordering, but after a small mistake the cook/Mathieu comes out of the back of the restaurant to come in a few seconds when I come back with my sandwich, makes it again and even brings it to me with a big smile. “The smash burgers here are fantastic, with a wide variety of options and fresh-tasting ingredients. The concept behind the burgers is unique and appealing. The staff was friendly, and since there was no line, the service was quick. While the poutine was good, the fries were unfortunately a bit soggy. However, I’d definitely visit again.

It would be great if they could offer hand wipes or wet towels for cleaning your hands before eating the burgers—it’s a small touch that some other restaurants provide. On the plus side, the parking is free and convenient, which makes the experience even better.“
