“the ceasar salad can be given a 6 star. Chicken dish was generous and meat was very tender. Would return just for the ceasar salad anytime. The tagliolino nero was average and a bit over priced compared to the other entrees. Lamb shops interestingly only had 4 pieces of meat without any vegetables or sides on the plate. Panna water and pellegrino was the same price as a Moretti beer. Service was attentive and efficient. Atmosphere was warm and inviting.“

“We celebrated a special event at Donato's on a regular Tuesday afternoon for lunch. We had an exquisite and memorable experience. The table d'hote had so many offerings at unbeatable prices. Every dish was served to perfection and our party of 4 agreed that there was nothing missing or lacking from this experience. “There are many things to appreciate about this bistro, others we were not super excited about. I would probably try it again if I lived in the area, but will not do a detour for it.

What we liked: the nice, young lady who served us, the coziness of the place, the lentil soup and the lamb shank, the BYOB formula.
What was OK: the eggplant pasta, the side veggies that seem a bit of an afterthought. A bit expensive but that is usually the case in BYOB restaurants as they need to make a good profit on the food itself.
What could be improved: salad included in the meal is tiny and very generic; we had to go to the kitchen at the end to find the wait staff and ask for the bill; open kitchen very close to the dining area with a lot of noise and smells; a few words in French (Bonjour, Merci) would go a long way to make Québécois of all backgrounds feel welcome.“

“Montréal à table à la Terasse du W Un mousseux "Crément d'alsace" pour accompagner mes "Crevettes et sorbet au cari": Crevettes marinées et grillées façon thaï (5), sorbet cari coco, lime, coriandre. Mon appréciation: crevette sucrée et piquante adouci par le sorbet rafraîchissant et gouteux, un délice. Un vin blanc "Sancerre" avec Tostadas à la pieuvre grillée (3) Pico de gallo, crème d’avocats, oignons marinés à l’hibiscus, piment chili, laitue et tomates. Mon appréciation: la pieuvre d'une belle tendretée, le tout excellent avec l'ajout de jus de lime. Sans la lime, on goûte bien l'oignon qui est sucré. Panna cotta au chocolat et au rhum Mousse de litchi: on goûte le amer du chocolat, le sucrée de la mousse de litchie équilibre l'assiette pour la gardée fraîche en bouche. Les boules croustillantes ajoute de la texture au plat. Excusez ma fin de rhume pour ne pas avoir goûté au rhum. Ambiance musical style lounge avec une touche qui donne envie de danser aux gens comme moi qui ont le beat dans le sang. Et que dire du service, ils m'ont mise à l'aise toute suite, moi qui va au restaurant seule, je me sentais comme une reine. J'ai pu goûter à different vin pour choisir celui qui me plaît. C'est agréable d'être certain de boire ce qu'on apprécie. Parfois, la barmaid savait plus que moi si j'appréciais le vin. Merci de m'avoir permis d'en goûter un autre.“

“The pizza is very very good. It's not an Italian pizza, but a Canadian pizza. They are quite generous with the vegetables in the vegetarian pizza. (Thank you) It is also very good for lunch the next day and the following days, it keeps well. The service is fast and the lady at the checkout is very nice.
