“I had really high expectations for Restaurant Monarque and was hoping it would completely blow me away. While the food was delicious, the overall experience fell just slightly short of what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Service was the main area that didn’t quite meet expectations. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before receiving menus and had to ask for them. Throughout the meal, interactions felt a bit rushed - several staff members who stopped by the table were somewhat brief, and on a few occasions, items like bread or water were dropped off while we tried to ask questions, but the busser had already walked away. That said, the restaurant was quite busy during lunch, so it’s possible the pace and attentiveness were impacted by that. As for the food, we ordered the albacore tuna appetizer along with the strip loin, butcher’s cut, and duck for our mains. Everything was well-prepared, though the duck portion was noticeably small. Desserts were a highlight - especially the pavlova with maracuya, which was excellent. Our server Laura was professional, though not very engaging until the very end of the meal when we were settling the bill. I would still return, as the food is strong, but I have to say that Bar George left a more lasting impression on us in terms of both food and service.”

Dès l’entrée, les effluves envoûtants de la cuisine m’ont séduite. Service impeccable, rapidité et fraîcheur irréprochable. 🌊 En entrée, des huîtres sur glace d’une fraîcheur exquise, relevées d’une mignonnette au vinaigre vieilli : un pur délice marin. 🍲 En plat principal, la bouillabaisse aux poissons et fruits de mer — généreuse, riche en saveurs, et tout simplement succulente. J’ai savouré chaque bouchée avec gratitude. 🍮 Et pour clore cette expérience : le pastel de nata maison accompagné de glace… une douceur portugaise qui a parfaitement scellé cette soirée magique. Une expérience culinaire raffinée, où chaque détail était pensé pour sublimer le moment. 🌹”

“Excellent brunch — rich and indulgent. A really enjoyable brunch, made better by a lovely spot outside. The fresh fruit plate was beautifully presented and perfectly ripe, and the pastry board was the highlight — a flawless pain au chocolat, a rich almond croissant, and a classic butter croissant, all clearly made in-house. The bread basket arrived warm with several varieties and good butter. The charcuterie platter was solid but not the standout — decent quality, though a step below the rest of the spread. Service was a real strength: polished, attentive, and friendly throughout. Sitting outside in the garden setting was a real treat — calm, green, and relaxing. It’s a rich, calorie-heavy brunch — come hungry and pace yourself — but a very satisfying one.”

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.”

“Le milky way est un magnifique endroit avec une bonne ambiance pour terminer une soirée entre amis. J’ai commander le drink Preach’s peach pour sa composition et le magnifique verre annoncé sur le menu (flamingo). Malheureusement, le drink n’a pas été servi dans le verre tant attendu. Dans ce genre d’endroit, la présentation fait toute la différence pour justifier un cocktail à 25$. J’aurais apprécier qu’on me renseigne que le verre n’était pas disponible ce soir-là. J’aurais probablement opter vers un autre cocktail à un prix plus modeste. Ceci dit, le goût était bon. Nous ne recommandons pas les spritz sans alcool qui sont à notre goût fade et simplement amer. Un ajout de sirop simple pourrait probablement balancer l’amerture de ce drink qui est normalement délicieux avec du mousseux, bien entendu. Pour terminer, le cocktail bleu dont je ne me souvient plus le nom était le highlight de la soirée. Je retournerais au MilkyWay pour retenter l’expérience :) Au plaisir,”

“We were at the Brossard location. 9am Saturday, no waiting line. Nice, dynamic ambiance. Tables distribution excellent, not to close each other, places for solo, couples and groups. The attendants were very polite and well informed. Prices are competitive. They are different, with their own style. Not mass coffee serving, good quality of ingredients. Presentation of plates need improvement. I'll go back.”
