“Excellent bar to dance latin music. The dj plays great songs, we had a blast!! We are from Colombia and this is the best dj we have found in montreal so far that plays good latin party music. There is enough space to dance, clean badrooms, good lightning.“

“New place in Costa Mesa this place was amazing. The beans are incredible. I did try to Smashburger however, it did not have the burnt ends that they said it would have. The fries were delicious as well. I think you guys should try it not a full bar, but I think they have beer and wine to accompany your meal. Happy eating.“

“I found the atmosphere to be friendly. The place is more of a modern pub style. 14 lines of popular beers and microbreweries are available. The snakebites and blackvelvets are delicious and well executed. The menu is interesting. I had the bison burger and it was exceptional, really.“

“I got the Reuben sandwich and craft beer (it's a NEIPA called Chakwow) and everything was absolutely delicious. The meat was seasoned perfectly and served hot, and the beer was brewed fresh & tasted fruity and refreshing. The staff was friendly and served the guests quickly. The decor is also inviting and spacious, and they even have pinball machines. The menu is a bit on the short end but gets an extra star because of how good the food tasted. “Boswell is a solid brewpub. The food was standard, the fries were delicious. Served was animated, friendly, and efficient. The only comment I have is that the music was a bit too loud. There were times when I couldn't hear the people at my table due to the music being too distracting.“

“Milan, the barmaid, was very friendly! Cash only, but very reasonably priced, and the pool was free. In short, we had a lovely evening. The only problem is the decor. There are strange surroundings and the cleanliness of the toilets was not optimal.“

“First experience but far from the last. There were 2 of us, we ordered 4 dishes and 2 sides.We were seated in the high chair facing the kitchen and we were able to admire the chefs. Which, by the way, delivered orders in less than 10 minutes!!!The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Not quite the type of place that we usually visit, but given that our wives were out for the night, we decided to give this place a try amongst us four men. Food was good, friendly staff, attentive service and very affordable. We happened to be there during a one-man band country singer show. We’re not country music fans, however we were delighted by the talented performance, and before we knew it the small dance floor quickly filled up with a group of beautiful young ladies square dancing your evening away.“

Two are recollection they don’t serve food, but they invite you to bring food from other locations inside the food market. They are very accommodating. You can go and see them and secure your table 1st and then go and get your food and come back. They have really good selection of cocktails and beers on top. The service every time we visit is very good and quick. The ambiance is really good as well. There were a few times where it was just a two of us in the bar for some time and other times where the pub was filled. Overall the vibe is always really good.Parking: Very similar to our review of the central, street parking may be difficult, especially if Saint Catherine Street is closed. So you may need to resort to a parking garage or try to find somewhere to park on Saint Laurent Street.“

It was late on a Friday when we got into town and we are not familiar with the area, and this did not come up when we did a Google search for food.I was hoping for more of a meal, but was impressed by their easily shared snackable options! This place is the perfect hangout for some sociables! Lots of charcuterie style options that you can mix and match, but I wasn't really in that vibe unfortunately at the time.We ordered nachos and while the salsa was delicious and my partner really really liked it, I wish it had been on the side instead. LOVED that it had black olives, but cheese was the only other topping and there was a little too much of it and it wasn't great cheese... Wish we could have had tomatoes and onions if not a little lettuce but it still hit the spot. Also wish my Caesar had a celery stick with the bacon bites as I was just trying to get some green into me by ordering it since there were not really any options to round out my meal on the menu...Again, GREAT snacks and fairly healthy options since hardly anything was deep fried and they didn't seem to have french fries, but no real entrees offering a balanced meal (just so you know ahead of time). Could see this being a favourite hang out of mine if I lived in the area and would totally visit again!“

“We recently visited from Texas, Mado was very welcoming ( Eddie from Texas) . I understand French was with my English speaking partner and his brother Eddie. We enjoyed our time felt at home. Some people on here mentioned about having a hard time if you don’t speak French, to the contrary. All commentary is in French with English song, but you’re in Quebec. “Stumbled on this place by accident. Was headed to the cigar lounge upstairs but was dressed a little too casual(athletic shoes)to enter. So on the way out the Pub is downstairs. Dropped in and wound up staying 2 hours. Friendly bar staff. Service was great. Plenty of beers on tap. Small in size but that adds to the feel of a neighborhood pub.“

If I wasn't in a public setting, I would have licked the dish clean; the beef was tender, the brown sauce was delicious, and the mash and veg were cooked well! I ordered an old fashioned to accompany my dinner, which tend to be hit or miss depending on the establishment. These folks hit the mark. Wonderful dinner and drinks. “The ambiance in this bar is fun . And the decor is great . The bartenders . The owners . And the manager, are all super nice . And very great people . I come here often . “For anyone wondering if this is a good bar, it is! For years I was skeptical about this place because of its location but I was so surprised when I opened the door. You can’t tell from outside but the space is actually really nice and cozy and SUPER clean! Their bathrooms are spotless, their counters and fridges are so so clean, everything shines. I was served by a bartender that has been working there for 16 years, a beautiful lady with a great smile. “I was in town from the United States for a hockey game and stopped in at this location to find the most lovely bartender tending bar. Leah was my bartender and what a perfect person for the job. She boasts an incredibly bubbly and friendly personality; both talkative and quick witted. Her joy in being given carte blanche at making my cocktails and being able to turn me onto the Caesar cocktail showed her true love for her craft. It would behoove one to visit this bar whilst venturing around Montreal, I assure you won’t be disappointed. Leah, thank you again for your hospitality.“
