“It would be too easy to write how good the BBQ IS from SCQ, especially since everyone else writes this. Rhode Island knows already that their menu is delicious. I wish to explain why.I attended the Linesider Brewery Chili Cookoff last Saturday, with seven food establishments competing. We all got to sample a half cup of chili from all, and the winner only got bragging rights. No money to be won, no trophy, the chili was not sold, and the price of entry allowed all of us to sample all the chilis.SCQ took this competition seriously. They used the highest quality meats in their chili including buffalo meat, a few different kinds of beans, and topped it off with a few wagu beef tips that were smoked so slowly it melted in your mouth. Was it butter that tasted like beef, or was it beef that tasted like butter...does not matter, both are winners. The seasonings were few and simple, and it allowed you to taste how good the meat was, not being overpowered by spices, or toppings like sour cream, onions, or shredded cheddar cheese. There was a side of corn bread, which added a bit of sweetness, if you wanted that. Frankly, the chili did not need it.Guess what? They won for the second year in a row, voted upon by all who attended. So now I ask you this....if SCQ is serious about an event where they do not make money, how good do you think their food is when they do?“

“The pulled pork sandwich was the best I've had anywhere in a long time. Smokey Bones has the best BBQ sauces around. And they have e the best French Fries as well. I ate at the bar a the service was spectacular. I decided to try this restaurant today for lunch while my car was being serviced. It's a quick walk from the numerous car dealerships in the area. What a perfect place to hang out while my car is being serviced. I'll be stopping in more often as I really enjoyed my lunch break. Kay was a fantastic bartender. I really enjoyed my lunch today!“

“Had a great time ringing in the new year here with my fam at their comedy show! The buffet was surprisingly good - wonderful tasty spread, hilarious comedians, and a very quaint restaurant! Will definitely return the next time we are visiting family in the area!“

“Jen, our server was excellent! She was personable and attentive and knowledgeable of the entire menu. My house Cabernet was delicious! The pulled pork nachos were amazing! The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. We had leftover white pizza and Philly cheese steak sandwiches to enjoy the following day. Looking forward to treating our children and grandkids again soon!“

“Ordered food tonight chilli was spicy and hot loved that the rolls was buttery and fresh i didnt butter but thats ok customer service was great the downfall was the blossom onion because it was a little salty i enjoyed thr food i havent been in 13 years and yet it was still great my wife loved the food i will be back soon to order more Appertizers in the near future as a customer.“

“We worked with The Flatts recently to provide corned beef & cabbage dinners for 60+ people at our beach club St. Paddy's Day party...the food was delicious! Nicole helped me coordinate the food and was fantastic to work with! We'll be going back to The Flatts next year for our annual party!“

“Hate the name Lake Taco but had a wonderful dinner there. House made nachos and margaritas were a great starter and the taco salad with brisket was delicious . Service was excellent. Will definitely be returning.“

“Take it from a 6’1” 320lb redneck, this is the best it gets. I became an addict with the BBQ which was incredible, they have stepped up the game with the “Italian Stallion”. I drove 800 miles from Bristol TN just to get one and visit my good friends. I assure you they are culinary geniuses! If you don’t think it’s the best in the country, you should go have the Dr check your taste buds.“
