“We’ve been ordering from Ivy and Lace since my son’s first smash cake 6 years ago. We now have 3 kids and order all their birthday cakes and cookies from here. The designs are exactly what we ask for, the flavors are amazing, everyone always raves at how perfect the cakes and cookies taste and look!

There was a little miscommunication for my son’s birthday this year, and we realized his cake was never made for his party when we went to pick it up. Amy SO graciously still managed to make the same exact cake we asked for and personally delivered it to us with plenty of time to spare!! To us, this goes above and beyond what we expected out of this situation, and we are SO grateful for her generosity!! We will continue to be a dedicated customer indefinitely!!!“

“Took my toddler here Monday and my only regret with coming here is that we’ve lived in North Smithfield for several years and this was our first time coming! My son (almost 3) loved seeing the cows and trucks that were set up there. We went inside to get a snack and he started having a mini meltdown because he wanted to go back outside. An employee (wish I got her name) came from behind the register and gave him a couple stickers and told me I was doing a great job, which really means a lot when you feel like you’re doing something wrong as a mom. I appreciate that woman more than she realized! 💕 I ordered a cream puff and 2 chocolate chip cookies. When the employee from behind the counter handed me my box she let me know she gave us an extra cookie! The employees really were amazing. My son loved his cookie, and I’ve been dreaming of that cream puff ever since 🤤 we can’t wait to come back and try the ice cream! Great snacks and even greater employees! Thank you for a great day!“

“Such a great gluten-free bakery! I tried the carrot cake , the chocolate brownie, and a chocolate cream cake, yes I'm a pig 😆, and all were absolutely delicious. The carrot cake was so moist and everything flavorful. You’d never know they were gluten-free. I highly recommend this bakery!!“

“If you are looking for affordable, tasty food and great portions? This is the spot! I walked in and was immediately greeted by the man behind the counter. I had a lot of questions and he answered them kindly and informed about so many items on the menu. There is an option for everybody! They have a good amount of high chairs where you can sit and eat. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai; it was fresh, hot and had a nice kick to it. For a drink, I ordered the strawberry passion fruit slush with lychee jelly. So good! I cannot wait to return!“

“They took away the “sourdough stick” which was their sourdough baguette named in a way that made it hard to tell what it was. I myself accidentally got a regular French baguette on multiple occasions when I actually wanted a sourdough one because I consider it a baguette. I think this is why it was selling less.

A bunch of other unique items like the walnut raisin loaf and pan de mie were also removed while nothing new was added. As others have said the place can feel a bit rote and it’s not mindblowingly amazing but it is the best in the area and solid for what it is. That being said, I have fewer reasons to go there now. Too bad.

I worked at a successful Boulangerie in a different city and they had a different approach. I can’t help but think if this place brought in the croissants and pastries from the one I worked at it would be even more popular and loved.

“12/23/25—I decided to start calling around looking for pumpkin pies because my usual bakery has turned pie ordering into something that feels like planning a wedding. I swear you need to place an order six months in advance, sign papers, and maybe an offering of peace !
Anyway, I remembered reading somewhere that the same bakery had a location on Chalkstone Ave, so I called and asked, very cautiously, about pumpkin pie availability.
Them: “Yes, we have some now.”
Me: “Do I need to order ahead of time?”
Them: “No.”

As someone who is always on the move, I don’t always remember to pre-order baked goods half a year in advance. The Cranston location makes getting one pie feel like winning the lottery. So I got in the car, drove over, and secured myself a pumpkin pie like it was treasure.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? We will be happily munching on this excellent pie. And let me just say— I don’t even like pumpkin pie… but I like this one. It’s that good.
I was in and out fast, too. I went early because I can only imagine what the lines will look like on the 24th. I plan ahead sometimes—just not six months ahead.
Anyway, thank you to the wonderful people on Chalkstone Ave. You saved Christmas dessert and my sanity. 🥧✨“

We especially love some of their Specialty Breads that they don't make every week. The Bakers of the Farm were generous enough to make our favorite specialty bread on a weekly basis if we could order a minimum of 3 loaves because of the incredible work involved of making our special order as well as prepaying for them. “9/2/25— I was on the hunt for tamales, so I drove here. Sadly, they only sell tamales on weekends. Instead, I bought some bread and a few other things. I found out that once the weather cools, they will start making atol de elote. I remember seeing this store when it first opened and have watched it grow little by little.
