What blew me away was their dedication, the barista pulled off incredible latte art on every single hot cup in just two minutes! It did take about 20 minutes total to get our drinks, but considering there was only one barista handling a huge queue of orders, their speed and craft were super impressive. “I coincidentally went into this store when visiting Providence for the first time.

I ordered a chocolate croissant and a cup of cappuccino. I had no expectation. But after I took the first bite of the chocolate croissant, oh my, I feel I am ascending to the sky. The pastry was soft, fresh, layered with smooth chocolate. I immediately ordered their Swiss ham croissant. It was amazing! Before I left the store, I bought another chocolate croissant.

“They took away the “sourdough stick” which was their sourdough baguette named in a way that made it hard to tell what it was. I myself accidentally got a regular French baguette on multiple occasions when I actually wanted a sourdough one because I consider it a baguette. I think this is why it was selling less.

A bunch of other unique items like the walnut raisin loaf and pan de mie were also removed while nothing new was added. As others have said the place can feel a bit rote and it’s not mindblowingly amazing but it is the best in the area and solid for what it is. That being said, I have fewer reasons to go there now. Too bad.

I worked at a successful Boulangerie in a different city and they had a different approach. I can’t help but think if this place brought in the croissants and pastries from the one I worked at it would be even more popular and loved.

Edit: I can’t in good conscience give this place 3 stars because my complaints come from a place of love. So there you go have an extra star. Total rating 4 out of 7 stars“

We had the maple sea salt latte (1 iced, 1 hot with oat milk), breakfast wrap and chorizo & salsa verde wrap. Amazing flavors in everything and made our lazy morning perfect. We’ve already decided it’s our go to place whenever we’re anywhere near Providence. We may even take a detour! It was that good 😊“

“I visited New Harvest Coffee Roasters for the first time last week with my ICED COFFEE Summer Celebration coupon from RI Food Fights. This is my 4th July using these coupons and although I’ve seen the New Harvest coupon in prior years, I never used it. How sad, because it was one of my top 3 coffees this July! I only drink Decaf and the barista was kind enough to make me an Iced Decaf Americano. Delicious. I also snuck a sip of their cold brew (Yumm!) Cant wait to come back here with my husband.“

“Gong Cha in the Providence and Cranston area is a boba tea shop that operates with the customization options the chain is known for. The space is clean and well kept, with a couple of tables and some board games available that give it a slightly more social feel than a purely grab and go setup.

The drink customization here is genuine rather than performative. Sugar levels and ice levels are both adjustable and the staff actually follow through on the specifications, which is not universally true at boba shops that advertise the same options. The wintermelon milk tea, taro with black boba and milk foam, brown sugar bubble tea, and the strawberry milk tea are all strong choices and represent what the kitchen does consistently well.

The boba pearls are cooked in house and the texture reflects that, with a chewiness that holds up through the drink. It reflects an average gong cha experience, and this location does it well.“

“This is my absolute favorite breakfast place in Providence And anyone that enjoys excellent food, service, and a cozy family owned atmosphere will surely agree. I always see the mother and son running this place With such a professionalism and efficiency. The food taste delicious and if you’re ever wondering how long you order is taking or just want to see the actual process,you can look right at the counter and see the Mom showering it with love over the stove As it’s cooked in Plain view. They are both honestly more polite and attentive than most high-end restaurants and treat everybody Like royalty while filling you up with delicious affordably priced food. They’re also one of the few places that has non-pork meat options for folks like me. I used to pop in every now and then on my day off before jumping into errands and cleaning, but I’m so addicted sometimes I even stop by for a pick up order on the way to work, including today when I grabbing my special #2 with turkey bacon 🥰 I hope they never go out of business lol and I hope whoever is reading this takes a slow morning to themselves one day to experience it in person. The cafe was spotless, and Paul, the manager, is so warm, welcoming, has a stellar personality, and completely makes my morning. It's been tricky trying to find a solid cup of iced coffee that has all of the bells and whistles. I shared with Paul my favorite flavors, and he immediately whipped up the perfect cold concoction. It was my first time trying coldfoam! It is by far the best iced coffee I have ever had. Pictured is brewed Smores iced coffee with Oreo cold foam, crushed oreo cookies, and a smidgen of chocolate syrup. 10/10 recommend. I'm already looking forward to my morning cup.“
