“Love the outside Beach Bar!!”

“We went to The Spring House for our 25th wedding anniversary. This was the best vacation we have ever had. The hotel is amazing. We had a corner room facing the ocean and the view was perfect. We loved sitting on the lawn in the white Adirondack chairs. The view was spectacular, the live piano music was wonderful and it was great that you could order drinks and food from your chair. The food and staff was also great. We had the same waitress for two of our dinners and she was amazing her name is Kacey. She made our dining experience very enjoyable. We highly recommended The Spring House and we plan on going again.”

“Co-worker and I were out on the island for an install. Once complete, our client brought us to Ellen’s for lunch. I I ordered the “trash burger” as listed on the menu. The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly to medium rare. The side of fries was a generous portion and every single fry was crispy. My co-worker had a burger as well and was very pleased. Client had the fried chicken plate and it looked amazing. Restaurant is exceptionally clean, type two gals working had excellent customer service skills and very attentive and social. Cooks were efficient and friendly as you are able to see them in the kitchen if you are sitting at the counter. Would recommend Ellen’s to anyone and will stop in on my next trip out.”

“We had a great time at the September Block Island Pride Drag Party that was hosted here! There was enough space to dance on the dance floor. It was convenient to have both indoor and outdoor bars. Finally, there were self-serve water stations at both bars, which was a superb idea.”

“The food was delicious! Shrimp and Grits best I have had since I left the South! Black Sea Bass fresh fish was outstanding!! Martini was top notch!!!”

“This is a very convenient spot to grab a coffee and pasty before you hop on the ferry to leave Block Island. The whole milk latte and chocolate croissant I had were pretty good. I’d strongly recommend budgeting at least 15-20 minutes to obtain your food and drink here.”

“I can not express the gratitude I have for this resort! My wife and I got married 9/5/25 and it was the most perfect day. Ryan went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and the day went smoothly. I stil have guest raving about the food about the food months later! I couldn’t have imagine getting married anyone else.”

“Delightful little scoop shop. Yummy ice cream, and the location right on the pier is a great place to enjoy it. My family loved the sherbets, Mississippi Mud Pie, and the PB Pie.”

“Great outdoor bar. Right near one of the places where the boats dock.This is more towards The Oar which is on the other side of the island. A good couple mile walk from the center of town.”

“We stumbled upon Lobster Craft, which shares a kitchen with The Cracked Mug (another highly recommended spot for breakfast and coffee that has moved this year!) and we were blown away! Our crew got:- NE Clam Chowder- best we have found so far on the island.- Heat Wave- absolutely dynamite. Different take on a lobster roll, with a subtly spicy edge. Lobster was cooked perfectly and so tender and flavorful!- Grilled Mahi Sandwich- delicious! Cooked perfectly, and nice and light, yet somehow filling. Also came with homemade chips that we devoured.- Chicken fingers and fries- you really can’t go wrong. Again, though, cooked perfectly and very fresh tasting. Served with a yummy honey mustard sauce.- Key Lime Pie- an unexpected sweet treat for dessert. Not something I typically gravitate toward but it was so creamy and light and zesty.Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be hitting this spot each time we come back to BI from now on!!”

“someone working here noticed my girlfriend was looking unwell and very kindly offered to give her some of her own advil! we had no meds and the drugstore next door was closed so we ended up taking her up on it. just a standout individual who deserves a raise. the ice cream was good too.”

“A great old- fashioned breakfast place. Delicious home- made pastries and friendly service. Eggs, pancakes, the works. The locals eat here.”

“We tried the casual outdoor part of the restaurant. All outdoor seating no table service and a limited menu. But they do have lobster rolls. Quite casual. The food was ordinary but OK. Service was reasonably quick and friendly. The price was very high but that is common in the very touristy part of Block Island.”
