Ordered a pizza with toppings, and am convinced they just took a plain cheese pie that was already cooked, then threw the toppings on top, and threw it in a box.

My Wife and I go to Newport a few times a year and always hit some of our favorite restaurants down and around Thames St. We wanted a slice of pizza for a late afternoon snack and we stopped here. We were GLAD we did. Fantastic Pizza and service. My Wife had a slice of their Fresh Tomato, and I had a slice of the Eggplant. This hit the spot. We will be back.

Place is dirty, pizza is gross they use cheap oily cheese, no flavor and expensive. Not sure how people come back to this place to keep them in business. $8.00 for a small crappy slice of cheese and soda is ridiculous.

We went to Il Forno on our first night in Newport after a long day of travel. It was recommended and conveniently located near our rental. We were told there would be a 10–15 minute wait at 9pm, but we ended up waiting about 40 minutes. When we got back to our rental, we discovered my son’s white pizza had ricotta on it—even though I specifically asked multiple times for it to be left off due to dietary preferences.
After our second full day, we were once again exhausted and decided to give them a second chance—this time for takeout. The kids were too tired for another sit-down meal, so I went in around 7pm and placed a fairly large order. I waited 45 minutes as they continued prioritizing Uber Eats and DoorDash orders over in-person customers. Eventually, they called out a man’s name and gave him multiple boxes. He returned a few minutes later and said it wasn’t his food—it was mine.
When I informed the staff, they took the boxes back with barely an apology. I asked for a refund. The manager—possibly the owner—was there both nights and showed zero customer service or concern. No apology, no effort to make things right.
The food was average, but the poor service both times ruined the experience. Disorganized, inattentive, and unapologetic. I would not return and don’t recommend it, especially if you have special requests or expect even basic hospitality.

I want to be clear on this review. Pizza was oilier than moisture mire. Pizza took an eternity to come. Ended up feeding left over pizza to Tom the seagull who sat outside the establishment.

I found this quant resteraunt when I was famished on a Monday night. I came in the restaurant looking for great food, and I was very excited to see what they had to offer. I want to be simple and I want forward my order was wrong and my acquaintance who also came to the restaurant they forgot about the order. How the hell is that even possible? Anyways, I just wanted to leave my take, one star, do not try.
After bringing the kids from the arcade, walked down Thames st and brought the kids in for some pizza!

We come from NY, home of great pizza. Well, this place is abdolutely phenomenal! Ive eaten lots pizza, this is superb! Thin tender crust, nice fresh tasting tomato sauce and tender cheese thats not oily or salty.The real deal! Authentic! People who own/run the place are super friendly. Run there right now.It won't disappoint!

Food was wxcellent stopped in for lunch and snagged the chicken bacon ramch pizza and the spinich and mushroom pizza, the meal was excellent
