The owner is friendly and cheerful. Everyone gets a warm greeting. We had the harvest Mac n cheese, a lobster roll and the award winning seafood chowder. Everything was delicious! The street side cafe environment is clean and comfortable.
I needed something quick before the ferry to Rose Island. This had good reviews. Selected a lemonade and the roll and bowl. Picked the Connecticut roll (hot lobster roll). The clerk was charming, polite, and funny. She gave me some directions too. The roll was mouthwateringly good. The chowder was good but I wish I’d added salt and hot sauce. We tried the lobster/bowl combo and it did not let us down. Both were so tasty and fresh and the roll was loaded up with deliciously prepared lobsters. Just enough seasonings and dressing to not overwhelm and let the lobster speak for itself. As to the chowda it’s easily in the top 3 I’ve ever tasted. HIGHLY recommend this little shack!
