Birdies Hot Chicken is a lunch spot in Providence. The place smells great when you walk in and the Marvel arcade machine is a great touch. Customers enjoy the loaded fries, which are crispy and delicious, and the chicken is nice size, decently seasoned, and tastes fresh. The birdie sauce is similar to chick‑fil‑a sauce but still good with the chicken. Many diners say the food is good and the service is friendly. Some wait a little because the kitchen makes everything to order and staff can be short‑staffed, but most find the wait worth it. A few reviewers noted that special instructions were not followed, like missing cole slaw or extra pickles, and that a burger could be dry without sauce. Overall, the chicken is fantastic, the fries are delicious, and the sauce blows away many. The counter staff is friendly, and the counter staff often help bring food to tables and offer drinks. Birdies Hot Chicken is highly recommended for lunch.
