This place has gone down the toilet! Such a disappointing and inconvenient experience. Firstly, they no longer do any custom orders on cupcakes (which they did for years). It had pretty much become of a tradition for me to order a certain type of cupcake for my friend's birthday every year. Regardless, I went ahead and ordered a dozen anyway. I called them two days prior to placing the order online, 6/2/15, to confirm their new location in the Providence Place Mall. The man working there was rude -but he did inform me that he was in the mall and I could place an order online to pick up there. I placed an order for 6/4, and when I showed up in the mall to get my cupcakes the kiosk was completely cleaned out and empty. Not a person there, not a sign explaining, nothing. So, I call, totally baffled and there is a recorded message saying that they would be closed from 6/1/15 to some later date, which made no sense because I talked to someone who claimed to be physically at the mall kiosk on 6/2/15. It was utterly bizarre. They also went ahead and charged my credit card for the order. Ultimately they reversed the charge, but I had to deal with the inconvenience of eyeballing my account every day to make sure they didn't hard post the charge and let it stay there. To say I would not recommend this place would be the understatement of the year. Showing up thinking you're all set have some nice cupcakes for your friend on their birthday and arriving at an empty place is totally frustrating. At that point they've left you stranded and it's too late to find something comparable on no notice.
