We stopped by to pick up takeout and were pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant was open in the upstairs space above its usual cellar space. The host explained that due to a problem with the air conditioning in the downstairs space, about a month ago Heng Thai had moved their operations upstairs, but they might reopen the downstairs when students returned for the fall semester since the restaurant gets so busy. The food here is PHENOMENAL. I am so impressed with everything we ordered. The crab Rangoon rolls are light and crispy. The spring rolls are also light and fresh and crispy. The sauce they serve with these is delicious and pairs so well. We ordered the Panama curry with chicken, the crispy pad Thai and the rotisserie chicken with papaya salad. 10/10 - this place rocks - the crispy chicken pad thai is fabulous. Food portions are excellent and the mojitos are strong! Went on a weeknight so there was no wait for a table and our food arrived quickly.
