I had the jerk chicken with rice and beans and candid yams. My boyfriend had stewed chicken with candid yams and tosados. Very good food. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The cook also came out and greeted us. Comfortable atmosphere. I will be visiting again!

Good God this place was fun. And it was only Wednesday night! Ice cold red stripe (which I'm told is NOT how they drink it in Jamaica) was right on time. The chicken spring rolls are some of the best eating I've ever had. Sirloin was cooked perfectly and seasoned in a unique and delicious manner. Collard greens are Delicious. Just great vibes here. Amazing people.

The Island bar and grill was the best authentic food I've had in a very very long time. Our server was Emily. She was adorable and greeted us, took our order and checked in on us periodically. For the appetizer, we had sweet chili chicken wings and fries. Both were Devine and packed with flavor. The chicken was crispy and the fries were crispy and the best seasoned fries I had. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and beans and Mac n cheese. My best friend ordered the ox tail with the same sides as me. The rice was so damn good. The jerk chicken had sauce on the side, it was moist and had so much depth of flavor. I'm not sure if it's a popular place as we were the only ones there, granted, it was on a Tuesday at 3pm lol this place needs to be put on the MAP. The chef came out and asked how everything tasted. I always say, if the food takes a while to come out, you know they're actually cooking it and preparing. It didn't taste "pre heated" we are most definitely going back with our men!!!! Also, the menu had just enough to choose from and wasnt overwhelming to choose a meal. Thank you for a great dinner! #gordonramsaywouldapprove

Went with my best friend for a birthday lunch and everything was phenomenal. We got the sweet chili wings for an app and it came with fries. The wings were crispy and sauce was perfect. The seasoning on the fries were very flavorful and also crispy. I had ox tail and the sauce had hint of spice and cooked perfectly. Rice was also packed with flavor . My bestie had jerk chicken which was tender and also had hint of spiciness and also flavorful. I can’t say enough great things about this place also Emily our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. Randomly found this place not sure if it is well known but I must say in my opinion it is definitely a hidden gem #gordonramsaywouldapprove

Very pricy. I ordered the curry goat with collard greens and rice this plate alone was $20. My husband ordered the oxtail with the cabbage and rice which was another $20. The rice was hard and must have been sitting out for a while, the curry goat and oxtail tasted good and had good flavoring. We also ordered 2 meat pieces with coco bread, the meat pies did not have alot of meat in them, it was more breading than anything. I expected it to be spicy but it wasn't. The staff overall was friendly, it's a nice spot in the south side

The jerk sauce was very flavorful and just a bit spicy. It comes with three sides of your choice. Best collard greens I've ever had, and the fried plantains were so tasty. We went during the soft opening, so the prices aren't final, but for $20 it was a very healthy portion.The music was a little loud, but if that bothers you there's outside seating too. We went for the A/C indoors though. Overall, a great addition to the Federal Hill restaurant scene. We'll definitely be going back!Kid-friendliness: It's a bar and grill, but there is a kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: The outside seating is handicap accessible, but as far as I could tell the indoor wasn't.
