L'Artisan Cafe & Bakery is a cute coffee shop with amazing pastries and a great view of the Providence power plant. The owner is often present and quite nice, contributing to the friendly atmosphere. The staff is super nice, kind, and attentive, creating a cozy environment ideal for working or catching up with friends. The spinach pastry is a hit when warmed up, and the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich remains a popular choice. The delicious espresso and pastries add to the appeal. When the weather is nice, the outdoor seating is divine, while the indoor area features good, chill music and the lively sounds of Wayland Square, making it feel like a true neighborhood cafe. The prices may be a bit steep, but this is expected for a boutique cafe.
