Plant City Reviews
I enjoy the different vegan and plant-based option at Plant City. There is the option to eat more casual downstairs, there is nice outdoor seating overlooking the river and bridge, and the upstairs Sezn offers fine dining. I tried Sezn for the first time and enjoyed the sweet potato gnocchi, eggplant lasagna and matcha strawberry shortcake. It was a beautiful atmosphere with very attentive staff. The food was exceptional.
Love love love Plant City! The food is always great, service is friendly and helpful, it’s a great spot to keep coming back to.
We do wish it was more obvious that Sezn is only open on specific days - the reservations don’t address it well and the servers get asked A LOT about it from people hoping to eat there.
Great macaroons! Not a fan of the burgers. They are black bean burgers, but very very dry. They taste almost like they were dehydrated rather than baked or fried. It wasn't terrible but was far from delectable. Black bean burgers are great, but it was a little too crunchy and thin for my liking.🫘🍔

Plant City is a well-loved spot for vegan enthusiasts, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes and a grocery store for taking leftovers home. The pepperoni pizza remains a favorite, and gluten-free options are clearly marked to assist with dietary needs. The building is beautiful inside and out, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The market downstairs features many local vegan groceries that are often hard to find elsewhere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always ready to ask about allergies.
The menu includes a range of tasty options, and visitors have praised the mushroom and onion quesadilla for being crispy outside and cheesy inside. The spicy cauliflower enchiladas were enjoyed, although some noted smaller portions. The side of plantain chips was crispy and served with good sauces. The Fried Green Tomato BLT with fries and a Caesar salad was very tasty, although the fries were average and served with Heinz instead of a house-made condiment.
Breakfast options are also popular, such as the Sammie with shiitake bacon, which was described as very delicious. The side salad with a flavorful dressing was a pleasant surprise. The pesto pizza is excellent for takeout, and a muffin bought for a trip home remained moist and tasty 24 hours later. Many visitors find the food consistently great, with quick service and generous portions.
Plant City is completely vegan and offers both waiter service and food counter options. Guests can order alcohol separately from the bar. Although gluten-free options are prepared separately, some guests with gluten sensitivities or coeliac disease have expressed concerns based on reviews. The space has a great vibe, and it’s a place cherished for its great food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere. The only downside is that Sezn is only open on certain days, which can cause confusion for those trying to make reservations. Overall, it is highly recommended for its variety and exceptional dining experiences.
