PVD Noodle Bar in Providence is a charming spot with excellent noodles and delightful tea, especially the Thai Milk Tea. The small, narrow, and cozy restaurant serves amazingly good food, including pork katsudon with curry sauce and PVD chicken ramen. Drinks are also delicious. Although the service can be busy, it remains a kid-friendly place with bar seating that works well. The shrimp tempura is a standout dish, and the restaurant stays open till midnight. Wheelchair accessibility might be challenging due to the size.
The noodles are great, and customers absolutely love the steamed dumplings. While the restaurant can get a little hot and muggy, even at night, the food is too amazing and reasonably priced to let that be a problem. The ramen place really nails the fundamentals, with quick, friendly, and accurate service. The dishes are incredibly filling, and the sides are really good for the price. Customers recommend the hard egg with the ramen, PVD Chicken Ramen, and the Potato Croquettes. The restaurant makes nearly everything in-house, and the difference is noticeable, even in the 'sides' like the aji tamago and spicy miso paste, which are done well.
