“What fun! A small, informal restaurant with authentic French food, thanks to the French chef. The specials — like rack of lamb or monkfish — are especially good. It’s BYOB, so you can bring and enjoy a bottle of fine wine without having to pay a huge mark-up. If you forget to bring wine, you can pop over to the wine store just two doors down, on the other side of the ice cream shop. But you won’t have room for ice cream after a delicious dinner at Plouf Plouf.“

“What a fabulous restaurant. The interior is breathtaking. The service impeccable and the food and cocktails are spectacular. I started with an elderberry spritz…one of the best cocktails I have ever had. The table shared small plates of lobster croquettes and duck drumettes. I will never share the duck again…absolutely delicious. I moved on to bouillabaisse with a side salad, also very tasty. I can’t rave enough about this restaurant. It was a magical evening. This is truly the gem of Bristol.“

“It was one of the most relaxed dining experiences ever. The tables are about two feet away from each other-we all had room. We didn't have to hear other people talk. Our servers didn't have to play Tetris. It was July 3rd and the place was relaxed. Everyone was smiling. We got to eat some of the best French food I have ever had (I am a picky and non adventurous eater) ever. The Coq au Vin, Mediterranean chicken and steak frites were out of this world. Vermont Butter. I cannot tell you how much that made my cold dead heart feel nostalgic and joy and somehow understood. The wine was really reasonable priced as well and I feel that the restaurant chef or owner cares more for the diners than making money because quality of ingredients was stellar too.“

“Shockingly good. Not at all something you would expect from a hotel restaurant. Post remodel management has done an excellent job.

Every dish (and we had many) whether it was raw bar, seafood, meat or vegetable, was superb.

“WOWWW LOVE!! This atmosphere is peak Newport . My mother in law and I sat at the bar and I truly had the best time. We got 6 oysters, 3 different kinds that were picked for us. All incredible. Drinks, incredible. This experience would have not been possible, though, without our bartender Mitch. Fast, professional, and most importantly friendly!! I live in FL but I can’t wait to come back.“
