High Hope Tavern is a go-to place in downtown with a welcoming atmosphere, excellent drink selection, and friendly staff. The Roasted Oysters, Devils on Horseback, Raw Oysters, Risotto, and Tavern Burgers are highly recommended. The French Onion soup, mussels in Chile tomato broth, and steakhouse-quality French fries were outstanding. Guests enjoy the cozy fireplace, bar seating, and live music on Thursdays. The 70s Old Fashioned cocktail and grilled banana bread were highlights of the experience. A must-visit spot in the Stonington/Mystic/Westerly area for a fantastic dining experience.
