“Hard time saying which was better, food or service. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Not just the rehearsed impersonal greeting, but a warm welcome. I felt like they were happy I was there. When I started eating I was happy I was there also. I had the Soul Rolls and Shrimp and Grits. The Soul Rolls were great, but I had came for the S&G. Shrimp and Grits are my favorite dish, and I try to find them everywhere I go. They absolutely nailed it. They add goat cheese. Never had it that way, and it did not disappoint. The food would make you feel as if it belongs in a tablecloth, maître d' ryoe establishment. But it ain't. It's friendly, laid back and comfortable. The atmosphere fits in with the name. They had music playing at the perfect volume to notice it if you wanted to, or listen to your table mates with ease if you wanted to. The price was good for the amount and quality of food you get. When I got there almost every table was full, yet my tea glass never got empty. Which would be the case most places I go to. Especially considering I had been working in this heat and was pretty thirsty. All in all, I give it 5 stars, and I will be back. Hope to bring the family soon.“
