“I had a great time. Came in at the take end of the evening but they happily served me. The Johnny cakes were great as was the pork chop. I ordered it without looking and didn't notice it had shrimp in the sauce until it came and I'm allergic. 100% on me for not saying anything. Insisted they keep it in the bill and they refused. My server Michael Webster was great and knew the menu extremely well.“

“I remember hearing about the Boll Weevil cafe from classmates when I was a student at Augusta University but didn’t have the chance or time to go. While visiting the Augusta a few days ago with my mother, we decided to have lunch at the cafe. We were quite impressed with the restaurant being located near the waterfront. We both ordered the Salmon Meridian which was a grilled salmon placed on top of fried green tomatoes. We then had the option of a soup or salad with the course. I chose the Tomato apple soup and my mother the corn chowder. The tomato soup was a quite the surprise with the Fuji apples giving a sweet aftertaste along with the savory taste of the tomatoes. My mom’s corn chowder was creamy and as it said on the menu had a little kick to it! As for our main course, the salmon was tender with the fried green tomatoes adding some extra flavor to the dish. We also had excellent service from the staff who were kind enough to let us know what soups/salads were available for lunch. With excellent food, service and a welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant gets a big recommendation from me!“

“This was a last minute and late night choice after a long day of yard work. At first drive by we were worried. Then we decided to go anyway. The reviews online were good. We were greeted warmly and the bartender was nice. Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Delicious! However I was confused with the food being served in to-go containers. And when I asked for water I was given a bottle. So I felt like they might have wanted me to take my order and go.“

“One of the nicest restaurants in the Augusta area! It’s connected to a hotel and has a beautiful atmosphere. We didn’t have a reservation, but luckily they were able to get us a table.

We ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and the fried chicken, and when I tell you the food was delicious—I mean it! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly.

The service was okay. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed and looked like he had been working all day, so the service wasn’t as attentive as we would have liked.

Overall, the food was definitely the highlight of the night. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and a place I would definitely visit again.“

“My uncle told my mother and I about the place so we decided to go. I can't eat spicy foods and everything I tried was great and flavored just perfect. I got so much on my plate I ate two times on it. My mother and I took my sister and she loved it also. We have decided not to cook for new years so we are hoping they will be opened New Year so we can go there.“

“I went there for the first time today and I got the Salmon with potatoes, OMG, it was absolutely delicious, best I have had. The staff was professional and kind and made sure to check on us several times. If I could give them 100 stars I would!“

“I am usually there every Thursday. I always love talking to the lady's inside and shoot the breeze with the brothers outside! Great laid back and quiet atmosphere... I usually get the pulled pork, hash and rice with Mac and cheese. It NEVER fails that it is better each time. As a matter of fact, I am on my way now.“

“Ate here fpr lunch while passing through Augusta on a Sunday. We sat at the bar which was not busy. We ordered a pain killer drink which was really good. I had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. The crunch on the chicken was perfect. The chicken was tender and the sides were good. My husband got the Monte Cristo which is a ham & cheese sandwich battered and deep fried. It was huge. Comes with raspberry jam and he got a side of brocolli & rice casserole. It was unique and really good. And let's not forget the bread they bring out, honey butter croissants. They were my favorite part of the meal. Pricing for all was reasonable as well.“
