“My first experience here and I enjoyed the food and service immensely! My waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was great! I'm definitely returning and would highly recommend to anyone wanting some country style cooking. Oh! Prices were pleasantly low key. Thanks!“
“I give this Bojangles 5 stars, the staff is really nice but the plus for me is, no matter how crowded, they get the customers on their way. Especially when in the morning when you're trying to grab you some breakfast and coffee before heading to work.“
“We were visiting Columbia and wanted to stop somewhere with some homemade burgers. We stopped here, and it was worth it. The people were friendly, the food was freshly made and the taste was amazing. The burgers were definitely homemade. Reminds me of a mom n pops spot back home.“
“My family and I are out of towners we were on a college tour weekend. We were late getting into Columbia and wanted a good dinner. The reviews led us to Mr. Friendly's. It was a Saturday night, and we had no reservations, but were there late and so there was a table available. The experience started with the helpful woman at valet. She was so friendly and accommodating. She recommended the fried green tomatoes, which were great. The appetizers and mains were excellent, but the sides of creamy grits and greens were the best I've had. They also had a great beer and wine selection and excellent pricing. Definitely a satisfying experience, and I would go back again anytime.“
“My biggest complaint with this place is they don't have any real dishes and they don't have any real silverware. I just do not like to eat with a plastic fork on pieces of paper. So I probably will only go rarely. I think if I gotta take out it would be cold and unpleasant when I got to my destination. The menu has attractive options and they have first class employees perhaps the best I've seen in Lexington at similar restaurants.“
“Came for our 8th wedding anniversary and the food was delicious, service was great, appreciated the valet parking, and the great atmosphere. The serving size for the salmon was a little on the small side but the pasta dish was phenomenal. I loved that they gave us champagne to toast our 8 years ?“
“Carolina Buffet is a country cooking paradise where everyone can enjoy a great meal. As soon as you walk in, you'll be met with friendly faces and the delicious smell of home-cooked food. The buffet is truly amazing, with a wide range of classic Southern comfort foods as well as tasty dishes from around the world. There is food for everyone, whether you want fried chicken, BBQ ribs, or fresh fish. The food is always hot, fresh, and given with a smile. It's a great place to get together with family and friends because it's cozy and the staff is helpful. Carolina Buffet is the place to go for a hearty meal that makes you feel like you're at home.“
“This was a dinner date and the service and food were spot-on! The server was very observant and left us alone unless she saw a need! She made great suggestions for wine pairings. The food, the wine, and the atmosphere made for a great evening and date.“
“The lady you have working the drive thru window 4/21 around 10 am is always SO PLEASANT everytime I come. It’s hard to not smile when she talks to you even just to ask your order. She shows up to work everyday I come by with a smile and eager to serve customers. Wanted to make sure her bosses saw that it doesn’t go unnoticed“
“Love love love!! There isn't a lot to say about this wonderful restaurant that hasn't already been said. The service was spectacular, the menu was excellent, prices weren't bad, and the food was stellar. The different salt and pepper shakers at every table set a cute aesthetic feeling, making the place feel homely. Everything there felt homemade, and nothing was giving defrosted. Even the pesto pasta felt homey. Can't wait to go back!!“
“This food is really good. The candied yams are ? ? ? and I’m a yam snob! Cornbread is homemade, chicken is definitely on point and the Mac n cheese definitely has soul! I’ve tried the other soul food places around town and I grew up in the south. This little store is giving them some serious competition!“
“Sam, the owner is SO kind! I had an issue with my loaded fry. My fries were fried really hard which make them crunchy and not enjoyable to eat. I did not know the name of the food truck nor did I have the contact information to contact the owner. I also didn't feel like driving back to the food truck once I got home because it was so busy. I kept the food for a week in hopes to see her the following Friday. I drove to town that Friday and she was in the same location so I spoke to her about my issue. Even though, I did not have the food with me to show her proof they I wasn't trying to get over, she still replaced the food. I could tell she was skeptical while conversing but she still decided to rectify the issue because she appreciates her customers. This was my second time earing at the food truck and I must say I will be a long time customer. She is professional, has extraordinary service, and the food is delicious!! YOU MUST TRY IT!!!“
“I always wish I could give 1/2 stars because some things are not worth the full star, but this will do. My husband and I enjoyed our experience. It was our first time eating here. It is a bit pricey so if you're on a budget I don't recommend going or only go for special occasions. We enjoyed our drinks and the cheese board. My husband got quail and waffles, which he loved. I got the bbq plate with ribs. I liked the bbq, but the ribs are smoked, and that's not my thing. Also, the mustard bbq sauce they put on it is a bit spicy, and I'm not one to eat a lot of spicy stuff. I am gluten-free, and I had contracted them beforehand about their options, which they have. I told the waiter I was gluten-free, and that is an allergy, but I was still served 2 rolls on my plate. I just removed the rolls and didn't make a big deal about it, but the waiter didn't even recognize the error when he came and checked on us. We also had the strawberry ice cream for dessert. You are quite packed into the place, so people sit very close to you, making for a not so intimate atmosphere. We overall enjoyed our experience and will probably go back in the future.“
“The food was amazing and the service was great! We had to wait for about 30 minutes as a group of four to be seated but to us it was worth it. We all ordered different food and no one was upset with what the got.Parking: While you probably are not supposed to a lot of people parked at the food lion across the street and walked over.“
“I stop here for breakfast several times a week some weeks and this is the easily the most consistent restaurant around! Always on point- fast, friendly, CLEAN and they never mess up your order. The line could be wrapped around the building, and you'd still be out of there in under 5 minutes.“
“The food here is great early in the morning after a night out. I like it for lunch and dinner too but I'm mostly on the breakfast crew. My Daughter and I walk over to Thicket once a week before school. We've been going here for 12 years. The thing that stands out even more than the food is this place has the best service in the city. I frequently give 100% tips here because the wait staff is so excellent. The ambiance is dated but perfect for a Southern Diner. Keep in mind on Saturday and Sunday morning this place is a madhouse. Any other time of day you'll find ample seating and the friendliest staff in Columbia.“
“Although the music was jazz, it was way too loud specially for people that wear hearing aids. The food was very good. It was nice to see prime rib on the menu and would love to see that again on Mother's Day, which we have already booked! Thank you to all of your people that work on this day, it makes Easter nice for us“
“Easily the best wings I had since I moved to Columbia, and I came from Atlanta so that should tell you a lot. The owner told me if I wasn’t satisfied she’d give me my money back and I can say I woulda paid twice if I had to! That good. And the prices were fair.“
“First time here and it was a great experience. Fried pickles made to order. Chicken tenders and fries were hot hot, even mid afternoon. The slim sauce (think zaxbys or raising canes but sweeter) and ranch were both good. I also liked the flavored teas, I got raspberry tea. Excited to return and try their milk shakes, wings, and sauces.Parking: Smaller parking lot (~15 spaces or so) but located near Starbucks and Walmart.Kid-friendliness: Seemed like a kid friendly restaurant. Quick-serve restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Several handicap spaces available in front.“
“Gorgeous hotel restaurant in the heart of Downtown Columbia features all you would expect from the Marriott brand. The food was perfectly prepared, and my cocktail was one of the best Old Fashions I’ve ever had. Waitress / bargirl was very attentive and friendly, atmosphere was low lit upscale classy. Very much enjoyed it here. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.“
“5 stars, because the food is *chefs kiss” I picked up my to-go order during a lunch rush and when I got home I realized it was not what I had ordered. I called once I realized the mistake and Crystal (manager) was so polite and even asked ME how I wanted it to be handled. I completely understand how hectic it gets and sometimes things get mixed up. No biggie, I was able to go back and get my correct order with Crystals help. She even gave me a cookie. So with that being said…. 5 STARS.“
“I worked here for many years and although I am not a fan of Mr. Robert Williams as he is mean to most of the staff, I am a fan of all the other Williams!! I do like the customers and I very much like the food! I must still give credit to the cleanliness of the restaurants and the quality of the food. The food is absolutely delicious! So I will not take away from that. My favorites are Flounder, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, collards, beef stew…. Oh! The salads are amazing with the fried chicken and egg! Omlets are good, don’t really like the bread anymore, that is probably because I ate it from the age of 16-30 haha. Nice friendly atmosphere from the customer perspective and good service! If you ever run into Mr. Matt Williams; He is one of the kindest people I ever met! John Williams too! They are wonderful people.I would suggest if you are looking for great service and food do go here… if you have the pleasure of being waited on by Gloria, Marilyn, April, or Genie…. You will truly get great service, and the food is always yummy!Cheers to Southern Food and a nice atmosphere to dine in, if you must get it to go, most locations have a drive through. Best Manager overall, “Dalton”.!Thanks for reading my review, and hope you decide to eat here, so that you know true Southern Food and Hospitality!Parking: Parking is A okay!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly environment, not sure if they still provide the crayons and paper but I do believe so!Wheelchair accessibility: There is an easy way near the front door to have wheelchair access at each location.“
“When visiting my parents, this has been my "go-to" soul food restaurant for over 25 years. The customer service is great, the food is good...always prepared well and seasoned right. There have been times when my food wasn't the best or my order was missing something. However, they always make things right. You're haven't been in business for over 45 years with 13 locations if you're not doing something right.“
“Last night my Mother, Daughter, & I went to dine in at Poogan's and let me state how this place Exceeded our Expectations from the cleanliness, décor, & quiet atmosphere !! We were welcomed & greeted by Tara whom made the BEST drinks & was very kind. Once seated, our waiter; Jalen assisted us and provided us with many suggestions all while waiting patiently as we decided. Jalen knowledge of the menu and level of service was Exceptional. As for the food; Every bite was delicious. We all enjoyed every bite. We would definitely return!!! Oh! Between us three; we had the Fried Chicken Dinner, Chicken & Waffle Meal, & A Salad... Outstanding!!! Thank You All~ Tierra“
“I had an amazing experience with the crab legs – it felt like heaven! The Jamaican jerk butter was absolutely amazing – you have to try it! My daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries, which were so delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection! The service was fantastic, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. I can't remember the last time I finished all my food from a restaurant. Looking forward to returning for more delightful meals!“
“I well enjoyed myself great music huge food portion the tea was good n sweet ? I got fried pork chops (2) collards and rice and gravy the gravy they DEFINITELY took they time with it SO SAVORY and golden brown I enjoyed it NO COMPLAINTS I definitely will be bk“
“I’ve lived in the Columbia neighborhood of Earlewood for years and never knew about this gem!Staff are excellent, super friendly. The meatloaf is amazing, also enjoyed the greens, broccoli casserole, macaroni and cheese, too! 6 stars if I could!“
“We stopped there to have dinner on our return trip to TN from FL. This was our second visit and I was surprised that we were the only overnight RV travelers. Food was tasty and the service was great, too. Clearly marked signs for RV parking is a huge bonus!“
“Ribs had a nice, mildly sweet, smokey flavor . The ribs are not the most tender, they aren't smoked for long. Mash potatoes and gravy was tasty. Broccoli casserole is ok. They try way harder than most restaurants with the Mac and cheese. 3 sides, 4 bones of ribs, $15. And the plate is heavy! They're not stingy with portions. I will try their very affordable chicken baskets next time. Customer Service was good.“
“It must be really nice because of the many people I saw going in,however I was actually next door at JD Fashion purchasing a few things. But I made a mental note to self...go check out Southern Seafood next time you're in the area ? cause it seems to be popular.“
