“This is the real deal in Mexican around here. It's in an old HoJo Resturant. so I'm not certain if that qualifies as high end Mexican, Classical Mexican, or Just Short of a Dive Mexican... but the place is clean and organized. Let's call it HoJo Mexican. We built a house just up the road. As we were building the place, we stopped by once or twice. Since then we have been numerous times and honestly each time the place has been better. Once during a fishing tournament they got absolutely slammed and had a tough time getting the food out, but they sprung for some free margaritas so all was forgiven. The folks who work here are seriously hard workers. The lady who owns it works harder than anyone I have ever seen in a Resturant. Their cooks are great. Everything is prepared after you order and it's done in a very reasonable amount of time (unless there is a major fishing tournament, LOL). The food is great. I've tried everything I can think of on the menu that I would remotely enjoy and it's all good. They can make anything you would like, and to be honest my wife and I often simply order a couple of soft tacos, chicken, with sliced avocados. The chips are some of th best I have had anywhere. Freshly cooked, thin, super crispy. Same for the salsa, excellent. They have regular and spicy. Neither is too hot for me. I like hot, but don't care for painfully hot. Oh don't forget that they have a full bar... They have Margaritas of all sorts... and then they have Texas Margaritas. As best as I can figure, that is equivalent to a "loaded" Margarita. They are good. The menu includes beer, tequilas, and whiskeys. I suspect that they can make whatever you want, but suffice it to say that if you are there for Mexican and want an appropriate drink... it's available.“

“Great variety and all three entrees we got were amazing! My 2 year old ate all his rice then started eating off my aunt’s plate! Definitely recommend the cheese dip appetizer! Server was scarce, but maybe she was new or wanted to give us time as a family. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

“We came to Anderson to watch our grandson play football, at Anderson University (which is only about a 20 minute drive) and had a wonderful relaxing time. The campground was very nice, quiet and clean. Cindy (I believe she was over. seeing the Campground while the owners were away) was awesome! She checked on us each day to see if we needed anything, gave us rides on the golf cart around the campground and even hung out and chatted around the fire a couple nights with us. As I said before it’s convenient located to AU, ClemsonUniversity and downtown Anderson. The restaurant on site was excellent unfortunately we didn’t have time to take advantage of the waterpark but it looked like so much fun. We will definitely be back.“

“After the hurricane, our power was out & our entire fridge spoiled. We tried to make ends meet with what we had at home but unfortunately after working all week we were a bit unprepared leaving us to venture out to find food. We chose Taco Bell as it was the least packed (still very busy though) and ordered inside. I felt so bad for the workers, I can’t imagine having to be at work servicing tons of people, some who are not so nice, instead of being with my family. Despite the crowd & the amount of food people was ordering… I never seen the employees have an attitude once. They were so quick to get our food prepared and to help everyone that was waiting. I can’t thank them enough.“
