“The gentleman who makes the coffee is such a kind soul! He is so nice and just truly loves his job. (He may be the owner? Not sure.) He is very friendly and makes you feel like you belong! The coffee has been great both visits! He takes pride in them looking good and tasting good! There is a nice space for people to gather and sit for a meeting, do work or even sit with someone and play a card game (bring the cards!). I hope this café stays for a long time and I cannot wait for my next visit! If money allowed, I would be there every day!”

“China 1 has really good food. They also have a convenient option of ordering online. Unlike most of the fast food places in Union, my order has always been ready when they said it would be and it was always 100 percent correct. The prices are a little high compared to other Asian restaurants in town but the food is worth the extra couple of bucks if you like good food.”

“This was the best home-cooked southern style food I've had in years!!! We were passing through and looking for a mom-and-pop place to eat and stumbled on this place. Its buffet style with abundant choices and amazing sweet tea!”

“We stopped in Union, SC and was hungry on a Sunday afternoon. There were no signs pointing to Soul Food or restaurants. And trying to find on phone/internet was to no avail. Asked a worker at a store, and she was kind enough to show us driving to the place, and walked right up to the counter.Back to the Food! It was fantastic. They took pride in preparation and taste, and presented to us. Though there is no INSIDE eating area, it was a great carryout. Taste and Value wise. Off the beaten path because you to have to dig to find gems. The DESSERTS are 5-STAR.If you are in the area, you deserve a treat. And get there early or be hungry! There may be a line...”

“Great hole in the wall bar with cheap prices for beer and soda. They do have snacks like cheez its but most people mainly come for the beer or pool. No liquor which is not a bad thing. A couple of pool tables ($1) with a pool tournament every Friday night. Make sure you bring cash! No card but they do have an ATM. The ATM is hit or miss so I would make sure to have it before you get there.”

“1000% recommend!! We ordered the fried shrimp, shrimp Alfredo and fried okra and it was AMAZING. On top of that, the food was hot and nicely packaged. We moved here from Beaufort and finding anyone with good seafood this far upstate has been a challenge. Everything was just phenomenal and we will definitely be repeat customers!! Thank you!!”

“the slaw is terrible the sour cream isnt like it was when first opened i know one thing when tammie was making the salads they were so pretty but your lettuce it's awful you need to buy better lettuce the folks you have now doing your salads socks when Tammie and Denise made them they were fresh you need to call and hire TammieI haney to do your salads .and the slaw and sauces cause whoever you have d doing them now isnt the same she worked with gus and Joe he had better salads .gus had the Greek salad I aways asked for tammie to make my salad. since she isnt working i will go to sugar n spice lit better than w h at ive gotten there the last 5 times I ordered”

“I just left them a few minutes ago. It was my first visit my partner and I got both ordered 12 wings with 4 flavors all together and let me tell you they were amazing!! Each sauce was delicious the wings were fried to perfection and our server was delightful and pleasant, even other servers who checked on us were too! Their prices were great as well. OVERALL a great experience and atmosphere and we will definitely be returning!”

“Food is usually very good it was a little extra grissell in the chicken and the boneless wings were the same as the chicken you get with the plates , and menu prices online definitely need to be updated. But they do have good food and pretty fast service and I like the location.”

Props to the Waffle House they are extremely short staffed with ONE cook and ONE waitress but yet still have a big smile on their faces and NICE!! Major props to them and the customers that are being patient with them! ♥️♥️ they surely deserve all the credit! Wish I could remember their names to tag them and let them know they deserved a shout out!!!”
