“How is it possible that we didn't know this gem of a restaurant existed? Some dear friends recommended Murray's to us so we decided to try it tonight. The food is SO GOOD! Fresh, made-to-order food!!! We were fortunate enough to have Amanda as our server (she is also one of the managers). Amanda knows the difference between service and HOSPITALITY. She knows hospitality! We will be back, and we will spread the word about how good the food is!“

“I never leave reviews, but this place is just too good to not share. The drinks are unique and delicious (My favorite is the Island Boi, or the Orange Creamsicle one, or maybe the Coco Loco one 😂😂). And the food is incredible! I’ve never had anything there that I didn’t love. My favorites are the hush puppies, hummus, Veg Fil A sandwich, and the rice and beans bowl. This time when we went, the chef added protein crumbles, nacho cheese, and green onions on top and it was even better. My son loves the Hoot sandwich and he’s 10 years old and usually non-vegan….so that’s a huge compliment to the flavor of that sandwich. On top of all this, the place is just cool. The atmosphere is so comfortable and inviting, like I could stay all night if I didn’t have to put my kid to bed! 🤣 I just really love this place and I’m so glad to see it added to our neighborhood!!“

“This is one of my favorite spots in Columbia! They have an amazing rooftop with great energy. You can get food up there too although the menu is slightly limited and more geared towards small plates-- which makes sense for a rooftop anyway! In the main dining area service is excellent. I could eat the mushroom toast every day- it's that good! As a wine professional I appreciate their thoughtful selections, there's something for everyone. Much love!“

“Passing through town and had to check this place out especially for the new pinball machine “Jaws”. The BLT I had with their in house made bread was fantastic along with a wonderful beer selection. They also have many craft can beers for purchase, wish I had taken the time to check them out. Looking forward to sporting my t-shirt I purchased.“

“Always has good food. Atmosphere is awesome especially when a band is playing. Sports are always on the TV. Pool tables to play. I don’t care for the smoking outside on the patio too much but I respect that it is a pub but you can’t smell any smoke inside which is great. A+. “CJ’s is a really really underrated spot in Five Points! Unlike so many of the other bars in the area, the bouncers were pretty cool, and the bartenders did a great job. While I wish that they might have had a larger selection of beers on draft, they at least had one IPA on tap, and another in a can.

The ambiance was cool as well - it was definitely a dive bar, but not in a way that means it was run down or nasty. They had a cool, vintage Pac-Man machine, and the pool area was nice and spacious as well. Although I didn’t use the outdoor patio, it seemed like the perfect spot to people watch or hang out with a large group of people, and you had a bird’s eye view of the Five Points Fountain.

All-in-all, CJ’s was a lot of fun, and I definitely see myself coming back in the near future!“

“This place is what my wife has affectionately refered to as a "church of bars". Everybody here is friendly. The owners, the barkeepers, and the customers are all great. There is almost never any trouble. Since everybody knows everybody and everyone are friends, if you start trouble, you start trouble with the entire place. They have live music often. My favorite is Shrek's open mic night on fridays where everybody is more than welcome to play and even one of the bartenders gets into it and drums along either on his djembe or an upturned bucket. I have never once had a bad time here. The prices are among the lowest in the area and the people mame it an awesome spot to hang out.“

My requirements included the exclusive use of pure olive oil in the preparation of my meal. Initially, I expressed concern that my options might be limited to broccoli and a simple salad. Manager Eddie assured me that this was unacceptable and suggested I contact the chef the following day to discuss my needs. Following this conversation, Chef Jonathan promptly developed a suitable solution. I ordered the brick chicken, prepared using only olive oil, rosemary, and thyme—a dish perfectly aligned with my dietary limitations. The meal was exquisite, and I thoroughly enjoyed dining with my friends. accommodate my very strict food intolerances, and they went out of their way to do just that. I needed my dishes to be cooked in pure olive oil, amongst other things. At first, I told Eddie it looked like I could only have broccoli and a salad with minimal toppings. He said, "You can't come here and just eat salad and broccoli." He then said to call the next day, and he would get the chef on the phone to discuss my food concerns. I called the next day, and Jonathan quickly had an idea. I ordered the brick chicken, which only had olive oil, rosemary, and thyme. Exactly what I was able to eat. It was delicious, and I was so thrilled to eat out with my friends. I so appreciate both of them going out of their way for me.“
