It was my husbands birthday and booked a table at Amens. My husband was looking forward to the fried lobster. They didn't have it. So he ordered the sweet and spicy shrimp and I ordered raw oysters. Both were excellent. Then he ordered the scallops and I ordered the seafood platter. Excellent. We couldn't eat it all. I highly recommend Amens. However, was disappointed they didn't have the fried lobster.
Danielle was excellent! She anticipated all of our needs without us having to ask, and provided great service. Our food was fantastic and our seafood was fresh. The shrimp and grits were delicious.
Visited restaurant before and has a great experience. This time, server was great (as before), and food came out in good time and gave us space to enjoy it, but unfortunately my wife's peach salad with added salmon (ordered medium well) was full rare after cutting into it, ok it happens, could have just cooked it a little more and we would have been fine. Instead they made an entirely new meal - took 20 minutes - and that fish was rare as well!!! So after she having to watch...
