Jestine's Sweet Shop

My wife and I had dinner their on the night before Valentine's Day best fried chicken we have had in years. The$25 dollar dinner we had was better than the $200 dinner on Valentines the next day at a nearby restaurant with a terrible over priced pre fix menu.

Dedicated sweet tooth and not even ashamed of it. Heard about this place from the boy's co-worker who is a native of Charleston. Waited 45 mins in a line outside of the restaurant to be seated; granted it was Memorial weekend.The boyf and I took breaks from the line because it was so damn hot. When we reached the inside boy the scent of dessert was for real. Sat down and ordered fried green tomatoes, fried catfish, and fried coca cola cake. The wait for Jestine's Sweet Shop was certainly significantly less than the time most have to wait in line to get in the restaurant- and we found the items we purchased here to be delicious. We couldn't decide what we wanted to try- so we purchased a range of items. I had what we call a "magic bar" and also tried a lemon bar- both were moist and perfectly cooked. My husband enjoyed the desserts that he tried as well. I think this sweet shop is worth a stop.
