“This is a cute, friendly, and intimate Pakistani restaurant in the historic area of Charleston. It has a cool and cozy vibe, with dark lighting and colorful decor. Service was very engaging and friendly, and the server was helpful in helping us pick some dishes we hadn't heard of elsewhere. The food was delicious. We'd planned to share the aubergine pakora chaat appetizer, but our night they were substituting yellow yams and kale, so we switched gears and got the masala bhel, which was fantastic - spicy and flavorful, especially with a little tamarind chutney and raita. For entrees, we had (of course) butter chicken, which was as good as any I've had anywhere, and chapli kabab, which is ground lamb patties cooked in a tandoor. My wife loved them. All in all, it's perhaps the best South Asian food in or around Charleston.“

“[Takeout review]Overall: Willing to go back and try more items, but the prices will give me pause. The good: Great flavors all around. Both the chicken tikka and paneer tikka masalas were delicious, creamy, and wonderfully spiced. The rice was buttery and soft, and the naans were fluffy yet chewy. Food was hot and ready upon pickup, and the staff was friendly as well. The not-so-good: Expensive for what you get, since the portion sizes seemed on the smaller side compared to takeout for similar spots. I wasn't a huge fan of the flavored naan, as they were too strong and came in "globs" of spices on top. The naan itself was great, just not that added flavor.“
