Petit Merci is a charming little French-style market and café in downtown Charleston, right around the corner from where many live. It is a super cute and beautifully curated spot with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The boutique offers a ton of tasty food options and an amazing selection of gourmet treats like fresh breads, cheeses, meats, niche condiments, and other goods. The focaccia, baguette, aged salami, and roasted chicken sandwich are all highlighted as delicious. For a quick bite, the Saturday breakfast sandwich is yummy and the sea salt chocolate chip cookies are simply divine. The coffee is really good and solid, with lattes receiving special praise. The staff is extremely friendly, warm, conversational, and knowledgeable. The place also functions as a cute little market with trinkets and decorations. While some note the prices can seem high, the overall experience is delightful, making it a place customers definitely plan to return to.
