Our bartender Dave was absolutely fantastic. We were visiting Charleston for the weekend for Valentine’s Day and heard through word of mouth how good The Peacock was. We arrived and Dave immediately stood out — warm, funny, & attentive, to the point where we left for dinner and came back for a night cap. The Peacock is lucky to have him.

This is one of the best meals we’ve had in years. The menu items sound straightforward, but the flavors they get in there are mind-blowing.
We had the bruschetta and blistered green beans for appetizers, and then a sweet fish dish for the entree. That bruschetta rivaled some of the best Italian places we’ve been. The green beans were amazing and very Asian inspired. The fish is something I hope they add to their regular menu - idk what kind of fry they did, but it was light and crispy and perfect.
The best dessert ever is their s’mores lava cake. It was moist and light with the perfect balance of a marshmallow cream on top.
Their drinks didn’t disappoint either - the gold rush was a twist on a classic bourbon drink but better. It had a nice peppery kick that I’ve never had before. Also, if you like espresso martinis, get their version. It has a smoky pecan liqueur that sends it next level.
Go to this place!

This needs to be lower. Really bad service 25th anniversary down the drain. Don't reserve here you will wait 45 minutes passed the time then wait hour for food.
Crappiest Valentine’s Day menu. Everyone is complaining about it. I expect more out of this restaurant. Definitely won’t spend a holiday here again. Completely basic.

I’m gluten free and had a breakfast sandwich with Applewood smoked bacon… Amazing! Carson, our server, was awesome! So sociable.

Service was OK, the entire staff seemed anxious and like it was there first time serving. A signature cocktail was not available, Food was OK and total experience as mid to below mid. One and done for us.
Food was very mediocre. Ordered the steak frites which was extremely over salted. Will not return.
We popped in for dinner and ended up eating at the bar. Food and service was exceptional. David was a fantastic bartender and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits and the house salad with greens and grains.

Great time at the Peacock recently for a date night. Sat at the downstairs bar which had a great atmosphere. David was a charismatic and attentive bartender. He makes a great Gold Rush, highly recommend. Also the green beans are out of this world (don’t knock it till you try it). Will definitely visit again!
