Great experience, showed up 15 minutes before our reservation, and they had no trouble accommodating us. Service was phenomenal, we got poutine as an appetizer best I've had south of Canada. Dinners came promptly, everything was timed nicely and cooked to perfection. My only regret was not leaving enough room for dessert.

It was amazing... Market Catch was a mutton Snapper, yummy! Sam was an outstanding waiter and took very good care of us!

We enjoyed our dining experience at the Peacock. Service was excellent and the food was great. My wife and I are not carnivores, so we ordered a few vegetarian dish. We're going back very soon!

I will say that I have been to several restaurants downtown Charleston and this was hands down the worst experience. From beginning to end. We had to wait for our table. We went upstairs to the roof top and wanted the heater on and the bartender was extremely rude and ignored us. We than went to turn it on ourselves and all of a sudden he saw us and started yelling” hey if you want that on, ask me. I said yes please, we would like that in. He proceeded to get snarky and say, you'll have to wait till I'm finished with what I'm doing. Dinner service was even worse. Our waitress was seriously the rudeness person I have ever seen. I guess it's because she doesn't really care to be nice because she gets her 20% no matter what her service. We ordered apps. She never brought us plates for that. Another server brought them. Then she never cleared any of the app plates away. Nor did she take away all of our cocktail glasses away. She never came to refill water. We had to ask someone else. Anytime she did grace us with her presence, she was rude and walked away quick. They said because it was a birthday he would get a Champlain toast, that never happened. Than she brought out a drink the bday guy ordered and said this is on us. When the bill came of almost $850 the drink was still on there. Front to back the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We will never go back. If I had to guess, I give it 6 months before it's closed. There are WAY too many amazing options downtown to have your service be that bad.

Sam made our experience excellent - he took care of every detail as we were celebrating my brother's birthday and my son's wedding in 2 days. Entertainment was wonderful! Sam and team were outstanding!

Love the atmosphere! Food was delicious, a great variety for everyone including vegetarian options. Live music was great while we were there. Our waitress was fabulous!

We had an excellent experience at The Peacock! The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. Our party of four all enjoyed delicious meals — everything was perfectly prepared. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

We love coming to the Peacock anytime we are in Charleston. Best service and food around! The cocktails are always extra special and the hummus is the best I've ever had! Spent some time on the rooftop after dinner last night which was the perfect ending to the night.

The resturant is beautiful with a nice vibe however the hostess/regional manager and other staff made our experience horrible. We had a 6:15 reservation for 4 to celebrate my husband's birthday. My husband and I arrived early (6:05ish) and opted to have a cocktail at the bar while waiting on our friends. The bar and restaurant were almost completely empty. At 6:17 the hostess approached us at the bar asking where our friends were. We were told her that they were parking. At 6:21 she again approached and asked us to go to our table (12 feet away and again - in an empty restaurant) and told us to take our 2 cocktails that we had barely taken a sip out of ($56 for 2 drinks prior to tip). At 7:30 (mid dinner) the same hostess/manager approached our table and informed us there was another reservation soon for our table. We finished dinner, ordered another cocktail and paid the bill. Again she came to the table and said we had to leave due to another reservation. My husband asked if that party had arrived and she said “no but they should be here soon”. She advised us to take our unfinished drinks to one of the bars upstairs and that they were all open. After $56 in 2 drinks and over $400 for mediocre food and being treated rudely, we were not happy but took her advice and went upstairs to their bar. It was lively and decorated beautifully. We walked to an open area towards the end of the bar to finish our drinks and was quickly told by the bartender “you can't stand there. We have some other people arriving soon”. The area was not roped off or any indication that it was reserved but rather we simply were not welcome to stand there (after of course the manager told us all bars and areas were open). Long story short - after living here over 20 years - there are so many better places with much better food and vastly better service. It's a pretty place but probably the rudest staff and mediocre food.

apparently, this location had just reopened. Things worked out, but things weren't was a rough start. The service staff was unfamiliar with the menu items. We had excellent our service and the food was average. I wouldn't call it spectacular

Our experience at the peacock was great! The food was delicious and the ambiance is gorgeous. The menu has so many different options so it makes it easy to dine with a group. My only complaint is that our server told us we needed to order apps and entrees at the same time bc of our group size (8 ppl) and that she would stagger the release but everything came out at once. Other than that, it was a great experience!

2nd visit. Food was so much better when they first opened. Surprisingly EVERYTHING we ordered was overwhelmed with lemon or lemon zest- crab dip and Caesar salad. Menu is limited. Best thing on the menu should not be chicken fingers. I found the live music downstairs too loud for the space.

Seated in the bar when it was empty. Service was great prior to an influx of people then we felt forgotten.
