Dorty, who we didn't know was the manager, provided exceptional customer service for my family. And founding out this was our first time in Columbia South Carolina, made our decision to dine at Panera Bread wonderful and relaxing. Kudos to him and his staff. I remember when this branch opened up in Columbia's Vista, there was some buzz because it was a pleasant interior, great location, and a nice reasonably priced diverse menu with many healthy options. Workers in the area (including me) found it a good lunch option and were grateful for it. Post-pandemic, it has just gone downhill and downhill steadily. Stubbornly, I kept giving it a chance. I walked over from a nearby hotel and ordered a salad. It was good quality and tasted fine. I’m not a big fan of the chains sandwiches and soups but you can’t go wrong with the salad.
