“This is one of my favorite spots in Columbia! They have an amazing rooftop with great energy. You can get food up there too although the menu is slightly limited and more geared towards small plates-- which makes sense for a rooftop anyway! In the main dining area service is excellent. I could eat the mushroom toast every day- it's that good! As a wine professional I appreciate their thoughtful selections, there's something for everyone. Much love!“

They don’t joke when they say things are sweet, so be prepared for that. But I got the savory dish, so it wasn’t and issue for me.“

“First time visitor. It's a small, quaint spot for breakfast/brunch. There were a bunch of college students ahead of me ordering and the spicy bacon, egg & cheese biscuit seemed to be the most popular order so I decided to try it along with a side of the hashbrown Casserole and a coffee The portion size is ample, for sure. However, after the first bite of the biscuit, I couldn't eat anymore. The ghost pepper cheese ( which I didn't know) that they use was too hot for my taste. But if you like hot and spicy then this may be more to your liking. The biscuit was too thick for the rest of the ingredients, in my opinion. But the egg and bacon were good. The hashbrown casserole was well seasoned and tasty and the coffee was good as well. The service was top notch, the ladies working were very friendly and accommodating. The dining area and tables were clean. I would definitely go back and try some of the other goodies, such as the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese, as well as one of the specialty coffees.“

Perfect amount of room for 6 families to celebrate together— truly could not have asked for anything better and would recommend for anyone looking to have an event space with food & beverage!! “We went to Baked Bear on Saturday, January 7th. When we got there, the line was out the door (it's delicious so I get it). As we get inside I realize this 1 girl is working alone. Her name was Natasha I believe. She was amazing. She welcomed each person when they came in, had a smile on her face the entire time, and made us all some delicious treats. This girl deserves a raise and a bonus! If I owned a business I would be trying to take her from you 😁. It very unusual to see this kind of work ethic these days, especially from someone so young. I hope the manager/owner reads this message and realizes the gem of an employee you have. Also, your cookies are delish!“

“We’ve tried the tacos de lengua, de tripas, asada, and al pastor and they are so good! We love all the tacos. The consomé is also really tasty and simple. Still need to try other things on the menu, but we’re hooked. They always give you cilantro w onion, some limes, and two delicious but very spicy sauces. We like it too because we can let our toddler run around since there’s music and a tv making noise! It’s perfect. Very kid friendly. Rosie is our favorite cashier, so sweet and attentive.“

So when it came time for our daughter's baptism this morning when we found out the Gourmet Shop offered a catering menu it became a no brainer for us. The catering options on a per head basis for 12 people were an incredible value. Our guests, many of whom do not live downtown now want to make it a point to visit the restaurant. The drinks and food were both outstanding. My wife is picky about spicy margaritas (most places get it wrong), but their Margarita Picante is now her gold standard. Highly recommend it. Also, do yourself a favor and try the Brussel Sprouts—they’re the perfect size to share around the table and everyone will love them.

Honestly, I don’t get why this place isn’t rated a solid 4.7 or higher. Maybe some people value quantity over quality, but if you care about great food, excellent service, and real value, this spot deserves more credit.

Bonus: there’s a stage for live performances, which is a cool touch. No band playing during our visit, but it’s still a fun atmosphere. Will definitely be back!“

“Nice battery brewery with small menu of traditional bar food. Wide selection of beers that is updated regularly. Not a huge selection of food, but the pizza I ordered was fairly large and tasted like pizza. A lot of space to sit so large groups can be accommodated, including both indoors and outdoors. The building is an old airplane hanger and includes a large amount of brewing equipment which is really cool to see. A great spot to hang out and drink with friends.“

They showed up early and were set up before anyone arrived, the food was fantastic and served 100 of our military “s finest. The ladies that set up all the food, served the food were so polite, kind and enjoy themselves amongst all our Soldiers and Officers that attended. Thank God we found the best Catering Service with such short notice and it was remarkable. Thank You Fancy That Catering Services and we know who to call for our next gathering. “We always enjoy a great burger here, and they even have gluten free buns! Customer service is fantastic! The wait staff is polite, informative, and give just the right amount of service... and not hovering. Each time we have eaten here, the manager checks in with us to make sure everything is as it should be. Perhaps it was the last time we ate here, I happened to forget an unusual drinking cup. I was totally surprised when today the waitress saw I had a similar one with me and inquired if I might have left one behind. They kept it safe for a few weeks and returned it to me! #10+ for that service!“
